in a dumb sort of way: the whole song is supposedly about being against the Viet-Nam war and the draft...... to sing it in 81 is stupid, hence even the recruiters laughing about it.

bear in mind i used to sing parts of it going through Infantry AIT at Ft Benning in '83, and continued to do so for the next 20 years of my "career" in the Reserves, as well as to play it at home every T-day... so maybe i'm stupid too, or maybe the song resonates..... %-)
