It's sad that people just don't understand that went bailouts occur, the Fed prints more money and that money gets pumped literally into the market and raises the dow. The dow doesn't track equity, it tracks MOVEMENT. We haven't fixed any problem from 2008, a double dip recession is coming and will implode the US before may 2011. At this point the dow jones will equal 1/2 oz of gold (gold-dow parity will occur).
The fix is easy. Everyone in America start your own religion and become a 501c3 or charity organization. We'll all donate to each other rotating the top of the pyramid using the Golden Ratio. We could have our economy back in months with the people having control back of the Govt. and lobbyists knockin' at our door only to meet a 7-12-15-3 to the 9 sayin... peace.
the saddest part is i don't think we as a nation have learned anything from all this, and were likely to make things alot worse before we hit rock bottom.
Yep, the teachers, police, Jails, and all other horrendous expense that must be cut back are just unpopular in America, who is going to pay for all this when ALL the jobs have been shipped to india and china?
The government said Tuesday that foreign demand for U.S. Treasury securities fell by the largest amount on record in December with China reducing its holdings by $34.2 billion.
The reductions in holdings, if they continue, could force the government to make higher interest payments at a time that it is running record federal deficits.
(Looks like you can't spend your way out of debt after all - who knew?)
NEWSFLASH!!! THERE IS NO BUBBLE IN CHINA! I repeat THERE IS NO BUBBLE IN CHINA WHEN THEY HAVE A 30% SAVINGS RATE!
TELL EVERYBODY.
Carry trade investors like George Soros is a currency investor, doing carry trades. He borrows from the US at 0 % then invests in China at 5.31%. He's calling China a bubble because he wants them to increase the interest rate.
How is there a bubble if China's saving's rate is so high? And why is ours so low? 0% interest rates didn't help Japan's economy.
China bought US dollars to keep the Yuan valued low. The M2 blockage is the only reason why we haven't seen inflation yet. If the Fed discount window loans at 0%, why are the banks lending to businesses at 7% ?
increasing oil prices increased the trade deficit, which only gets worse with inflation.
Is there a gold bubble? you decide. Why isn't Bernanke raising rates? Or are you just selling metals?
What is a bubble? A bubble is when everyone is in on a trade/trend.... Dot com bubble housing bubble.ect. ask everyone u know if they own physical gold and silver . most people are sellin gold and silver and look at where the gold prices are. wait until just 10% of our country starts buying gold and silver . when 80% of the poupulation is invested then there could be a bubble forming.
Technically, if the recession types are V, U, L, or square root, then "teepee" is not an option. In all the other types, the markets drop first (the definition of a recession/depression). You can't have a teepee shape /\ recession. That's not a recession, it's a temporary boom. What he should be calling it is something like a "zigzag" or "lightning bolt" shaped recession. Down, then up, an then back down again.
If that were true, then what is a "V-shaped recovery"? If you don't count the initial drop (which defines it as a recession in the first place) then it wouldn't be called V-shaped, it would be called "line shaped" or "/ shaped".
Holy cow. This guy is not holding back the truth and I cant believe we are getting it. I do think that helpendthefed is right when he says the fed will continue QE and drive our currency into the ground. This is gonna be a helluva a shit show the next 2 to 5 years.....other than buy silver or gold what can anyone do? Anyone with any further commentary want to stick their neck out and tell me? Im impressed with how logical people are on this channel. Thanks everyone!
Yep, don't be caught in the city. The low energy localised (near) future will be built around small agricultural communities. Look for property close to rail, food transport orientated hwy's, water supply security a must, and climate with mild winters. Best investment one can make and its quietly happening now globally so if you got the cojones, don't delay cos property like I described will never ever be more affordable. My father is a retired prop lawyer, just made this move himself...
Yeah, Im on that track now and its awesome I can get people like you to confirm my train of thought. I do live on an Island though which can be probematic but at least there is one bridge to a peninsula and a major ferry to a large city if I need to get there. Its really insane to see all this unfold and I have to admit I have trouble believing our empire is collapsing...Thanks a lot I appreciate your advice.
@motoicon... The world is evolving, just as it always has. The only difference is that this time, for the first time, it is on a global scale. All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity". I think this quote from Nietzsche sums things up well... Oh and your Island sounds great, I'm envious haha... Wish you well mate ;-)...
My friend, debt is the very essence of fiat. As debt defaults, fiat is destroyed. This is where all these deflationists get their direction. Not seeing that hyperinflation is the process of saving debt at all costs, even buying it outright for cash. Deflation is impossible in today's dollar terms because policy will allow the printing of cash, if necessary, to cover every last bit of debt and dumping it on your front lawn!
He's wrong. There isn't going to be a unwinding of stimulus. The Fed will continue to print money and that money will go into the market. The market will go higher and higher. The USD will go lower and lower. Gold will go higher. People who own stocks will be duped into thinking they've made money. HAHAHAHA
@helpendthefed i think you are right regarding continuation of simulus and printing...they will do so as long as possible ....then one morning we will wake up and need wheelbarrels to carry the money necessarry to purchase bubble gum... in reality the US has collapsed...they are just running out the clock so the banksters can finish looting
prices have been going up for decades and having a debt base monetary will cause that. We will get to the wheel barrel sooner rather than later. Buy as much silver as you can while you can.
I went to Sams Club and stocked-up on gum. That way, I won't have to buy it when it requires a wheelbarrow of cash! A neighbor was in my basement a few days ago and saw my food supply. His comment was, "you sure do have alot of gum!"
Guess I'm ready, huh? Buying gum helps to reduce my storage space requirements. This way I don't have to buy so many wheelbarrows. :-)

Actually these interviews all talk about shapes of Recovery, not recession. So teepee is valid.
