When this reached other parts of the miltary it caused caos so it was shut down. The first Joint Task Force was created when the Army was given the task and the RCMP and Soldiers served together doing the handover as the first "Joint Task Force".

When the RCMP finally finished the Handover and left, the Unit was then renamed JTF-2.
