Monitors do have some mercury in the tube. Shredding monitors with out the tube removed is going to result in a lot of people getting sick from that dust around the machine and in the air. Wouldn't be much different then shredding three CFL light bulbs.

Wow - again...as an owner of a small demanufacture of computers and electronics...this is not the way it should be done according to the department of natural resources.

Components must be separated. CRT monitors contain lead and other toxic components which can be safely recovered by a third party.

This method exposes workers to unsafe levels of....well, just about everything.
