  • thx

  • what motor and esc you use in the buggy?

  • @zickzack19999 it was using a 3300kv motor with 75a esc both from HSP

  • @30GB HEY, I HAVE THE SAME HSP MOTOR IN MY 1/10 TRUGGY EXCEPT I HAVE AN 80A ESC (NOVATECH/HSP) MY TRUGGY WHEEL STANDS A LOT AT LOWER SPEEDS AND I HAVE THE SAME 5000MAH LIPO BATTERY,

BUT, MY TRUGGY DOESNT GO THIS FAST AT ALL! WHAT HAVE YOU DONT THATS DIFFERENT TO MINE??

DID YOU PUT DIFFERENT GEARS ON THE MOTOR? OR IS THIS A 1/8 INSTEAD OF 1/10??

PLEASE ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

OH ALSO DOES YOUR BUGGY WHEEL STAND ON THE BACK WHEELS EASILLY OR DOES IT NOT WHEEL STAND AT ALL?

    THANKS!

  • @VirusOfCyrus what your rc has is low gearing so its slow but have lots of torque but mine has high gearing so its fast. The way you make yours faster is put a bigger pinion on the motor and it should go fast as this.

  • HSP = worst purchase ever

  • @MMAfuel

I'm thinking of getting a 1/8 hsp buggy, need some review on it, why is it bad?

  • what lipo do you use..?

  • Mine has the 80a ESC that can handle 4s Lipo. The motor is a 3300K series Brushless. All my gears are metal. I did a dual lipo setup that was TWO 2s 7.4v 5500mAh 35c Lipo's making it a 4s setup with lots of power. Of course I broke things on it driving it so fast across a field and it slung out the padding on one of the back tires ripping a hole in the tire. It was super fun but now I have to fix the broken parts. I did a very fast noise dive into the ground after hitting a bump.

  • electric?

  • hey bro, only one question, i have a buggy(stock). can i place a lipo battery on it ?? please response and thanks in advance.

  • @MasterBoy392 is it brushless? if so get a 11.1v 20c lipo

  • @30GB

no bro, it is not brushless, it is stock. so, what can i do ?

by the way, thanks a lot for you previous reply.

  • @MasterBoy392 the only things you can do is try getting a better racing motor, they are cheap like $30 for a nice 12t-15t (Turn) motor

  • @30GB

hey friend, thanks a lot for helping me... check these 2 upgrade in the following link :

    ebay.com/Venom-Fireball-15T-Double-Motor-1312-/130504413579?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e62ab518b#ht_3678wt_1058

i will buy the motor (my scale 1/10 buggy).do you think it is good idea? thanks again

  • @30GB masterboy, you CAN get a 2s, as long as your esc has lvc, and even if it dosent, you can get a 2s

  • @erevofreak96 it dont have lvc also why get 2s when you want more powah? i was going to run 4s but the 4th cell was bad and i made the pack to a 3s

  • Hey im thinking of buying one of these cars except a 2011 model. Are all the parts on the car durable and wont break easily? Thanks

  • @Quoc011 they are shit, dont get them one crash and the chassis bends up and then you have to take them apart and straighten them up. get a losi or hpi electric they are more reliable

  • Hello,

I have also the HSP Planet. And today I put a Lipo 3S 40C, at first seconds it smell like a fire or burning electronics, I disconect inmediatly.

A few seconds later, I connect again, and I test running. The car flys, and make a scare big sound of high rpm, I test a few seconds and I stop the car because it smells like a burning electronics again.

You run to much with these Lipo 3S?, I read on some webs that the standard ESC is bad, and with Lipo 3S can damage quickly.

    Thanks,

  • @DaviDVDBCN wow thats scary just use 20c lipo or 30c not 40c because it can be too much amps

  • @30GB

I'am a little confuse with your last comment.

    I think that 25C on 2000MAh can give ->50A.

40C on 4000A -> 160A Novatech only support 80A. Can be broke ESC, but. If the motor not consume more than 80A contant, never demand this current? Is this ok?

The key is probably, how it consume the HSP Planet Motor?

And, other tip, if the Battery can give 160A, and motor consume 70A, the battery never heat too much? Is always better that the battery have to much C? I was thinked this.

    Thanks.

  • @DaviDVDBCN well do you have cooling fans on the esc and motor? I do and i dont get burning electronics smell

  • @DaviDVDBCN okay heres the low down. the esc doesn't pull amps. the motor does. the esc only controls the amount that the motor is taking in. the esc on that is rated at a 0a constant, but has a much higher burst current. a motor can only handle so much power and must be run around a certain temprature. usually around 160 degrees farenhight. know your motor an esc limitations. then get a battery that willl suply the needed power. i use way more power than that 13.5 t. i run a 5.5 t and im fine

  • @rccrazer Yes, I know that there are burst and constant currents.

I think tha,t you control with the battery, the quantity of burst current gived to motor. If you put a not high C battery, you can't overheat ESC and Motor, because the battery can give this constant hight current. Is this?

  • @30GB

Dear 30GB, finally yesterday I run planet on Lipo3s. Is very speedy!! I uploaded a video with it!! It smells a bit, but I try to not worry for it...

If you would like to see: watch?v=c4JSs8d_pFg

  • @DaviDVDBCN Are you sure it´s the ESC and not the coolingfan on the esc??? original fan is for max 7,2 volts, you have to upgrade the coolingfan on it, to a 12volt fan! I did and it runs superb on a 11,1v 35c 5800mah Turnigy lipo.... Also my hsp xstr pro came with a 75 amp esc?!? earlier modells came with 60 amp´s i think. so i got no probs whatsoever, except keeping the car on track ofcourse Lol. Good luck to you and hope i gave you some ideas on what to do...

  • Dude I have a question? Why is dat my 11.1v lipo battery when I charge it it says battery gone wrong. What do u think happend and is it safe to still charge it without the balancer

  • The only thing that is stupid is you!

  • whats the continuos discharge and burst rate of the battery?

  • @Hally2710 35c

  • can you tell me where you got that battery? because i cant find a store that sells any battery over 8.4V.

  • hey how many volts is the battery

  • @Bigdog1496 11.1v

  • This are all the same shit... Traxxas, hpi, kyosho and redcat... Expensive or inexpensive... Doesn't really matter it's on the hands of the driver... If a driver is to aggressive the possibility it's gonna crash is 80% so stop arguing about the brands instaed you should help each other in trouble shooting

  • unless you owned 20 different rcs, i know from experience hpi rcs are STRONG and weakest is traxxas and hsp also its not the hands of the driver and controlling a 70mph rc while you stand in one spot is not easy

  • @30GB traxxas makes some of the toughest cars around. the chines cars (hsp, himoto, redcat etc) are all crap.

  • @fathead431 traxxas are shit!! I owned traxxas and its not even close to hpi, hpi are tanks and never break and traxxas are only fast but breaks either in half or other places

  • @30GB when was the last time you owned a traxxas and which model was it?

  • @fathead431 if you saw my other vids, i owned rustler vxl and i know few friends with t-maxxes and they even said that it sucks and one of my good friend he owns hpi savage, tmaxx, losi lst and he bashes them and said that the traxxas breaks way more than the savage. he said than he only had a bad spur gear and i had my savage for 4 years and only went through one spur gear and some break problems last week thats it and i bash the shit out of it.

  • @fathead431 Everybody who has owned a Traxxas and a different brand will say that Traxxas are junk. You look at a T-Maxx the wrong way and they break. HPI vehicles are absolutely indestructible. /watch?v=9TwfdiljSB4 for proof.

  • @Xidium426 i know hpi is tough, i have a savage flux! see my latest video, its brutal

i also love traxxas. my slash has never broken! and its 2 years old!

  • this isint the best for crashing cuse it will brake but the speed is good and the price is assome unlike the stupidass traxxas prices

  • am gona get one for sure tommorow!

to be my 4th rc car but my first hsp car!

but just asking about the quality i mean is the quality is good, bad or excellent!

    excellent = traxxas

    good = tamiya

    bad = haiboxing

    ??????

  • its good but the only thing that sucks is the aluminum plates try not to crash head on with something or flip it hard, but the best tip i can give is to take off the rear wing with the 4 bolts, then cut the plastic posts so that you can screw it back in and install the body. the reason of removing the wing is so that when you flip it wont bend the rear shock towers

  • hmm. but they say that the wing helps in controling the car. I willl see about that!

and what will happen to the gearing if I put 7.4 5000mah lipo?

  • yea upgrade the pinion as the brass one sucks get a bigger pinion like a 31t

  • oh i see... ok thanks alot

  • is that the exceed rc sunfire buggy

  • yeah basically the same thing but the real name of the rc is HSP Booster Pro, exceed is just the company just re-branding it to their name

  • The crash was awesome.

  • you could control it if the wing was on it

  • no wing is there for nothing its because of my tires they are crap and almost worn out completely so if i can ill be getting foamies for it

  • also the wing it comes with is crap so i need a good body for it but ill see if i can find a on-road rc to convert it

  • Is that the Exceed RC buggy Sunfire??? that you are using for high speed runs?

  • Yes it is LOL faster than anything i have and faster than most rcs out there

  • cool. that thing sounds nuts. :) good job!

  • @V8Jagnut

    Thanks!!

  • dam thta is stupid fast like holy shitt dude wow those are real nice your very talented with electronics nice

  • @clonesandbriggs

Naw, its pretty easy you can start getting into the hobby if you have spare $100-$300 in your wallet, lol or lots of goodies you can trade stuff for like i did

  • hey imagine if that lipo 4th series wasnt damaged?!? :O! but i doubt that esc can handle more than 3s anyways.

  • @bizarrozero

Maximum is 12v if there was 4 cells it would have been 14.8v so i would have converted it to 3 cell anyways but its a monster for a cheap shitty brushless system

  • lol nice, ice anyone?

  • you need to get a radar and see how fast it's really going...I bet you hit at least 80 or 90 MPH

  • its about 80mph since i seen lots of rc videos going about 80 or so

  • I bet the people walking by were like "Fucking asian drivers"

  • ROFL
