hey man, the whole sideboard thing for the taters, does that help them produce more potatoes in less space? It seems that to me it would create a "tater trough" so to speak and by hillin them up in the trough it would make them easier to harvest and increase the harvest as well. This my first year planting taters and dont have the base knowledge like you. This seems to be a great idea that i will try as soon as the monsoon here stops. keep up the good work!!!
Bro, You can use just hay or better yet straw... to "Hill" your spudaters. As long as the seed potato was planted in dirt to begin with. Straw will be easy to "Dig" in the fall, but find a way to darken those sheets... If the potatoes get any sunlight on them, they will make a green skin on them, which is poisonous.
those are the best tire potatoes i have ever seen. most people just do a few plants... i love this idea i'm going to steal it lol. keep us updated on it as they grow
Nice. Good job! I'm doing tire growing-- so excited!

The old tire method is a nice neat way of doing it too. Just stack them up as it grows
