@giggityguy Honestly I have to agree with you. The vast majority of this song sounds nothing like the Metallica I know and love. It doesn't even really sound like a metal song, this made me think of The Offspring more than anything... (and I HAAAATE The Offspring... don't get me started. >,< )

I'm sooo very glad they went in a heavier direction on the final album; All Nightmare Long has to be their greatest song since Master of Puppets, which as we all know is the greatest song of all time.

you're full of shit. all nightmare long came from a jam rob trujillo had on a spanish classical guitar. theres quite clearly no sign of cyanide in this song. the only thing you said which is even slightly correct is the intro of the first "new song" did indeed become end of the line.
