1 the entire incident was caused by Ortiz with the headbutt which no one seems to want to talk about 2 Ortiz apologized not 1 not 2 but 3 times. how many times do you need to say I'm sorry? had he left it at one he wouldn't have been in the position he was in. 3. Cortez was looking away but thats irrelevant because prior to that he signaled both fighters to engage. And last but not least Ortiz broke a second rule by not protecting himself at all times. its the 1st thing you learn as a boxer

Ortiz was getting worked, he broke mentally and wanted a way out, and he found it.
He was all smiles right after he got sucker punched, hugging mayweather like they were best buds,
If he really didnt want out, he would have defended himself after the first cheap shot, not just let another one land like that, and he would have been protesting more after the fight, not just smiling like a kid in a candy store.
Reality is, he wanted out, broke mentally, kid is weak mentally.

Ortiz was in the wrong on all counts, he shouldn't be allowed to get as close to Floyd as he did, that's the refs fault too but when the ref says fight you fight, it's as simple as that. Floyd doesn't need defending, what he did wasn't against any rules. Ortiz broke the rules yet you still attack Floyd? I can't agree with you. Ortiz made a mistake by not protecting himself, it's sport, and players/fighters capitalize on mistakes made, just like Floyd did.
