Thanks! And that video was posted a year ago :) I think I should reintroduce myself to frequent posting again lol. It's been about 2 years -- I should drop the hammer already!!
I keep saying that but I really mean it!
How have you been? I hope spring is starting to show itself in your neck of the woods. It's flirting with us here on Long Island :)
1) Alpha Lipoic Acid 300mg every six hours and benfotiamine 150mg daily to prevent the formation of AGE during elevated sugars. 2) Management of blood pressure with ACE inhibitor or ARB which prevent fibrotic changes 3) weigh all foods to match your insulin and food as exactly as possible to avoid blood sugar spikes. Avoid juices, simple carbs, rapid carbs and number 9 4) Novolog for rapid suppression of glucose, Hypurin for the C-peptide. (1-2 punch)
Interesting, I have been watching your vids. Do you mind if I post this video on a forum I belong to about diabetes? And don't worry about the diabetes police, they usually have no idea how diabetes can have a mind and plan all it's own. So stuff them. :p
Allie! You sound FABULOUS! Your speech is continuing to improve, and I find that so so inspiring.
You are SO right in that we still fall short. Diabetes is such an all encompassing condition, and even with all of the tools we have and knowledge we have, it's still very hard to do.
Glad to hear and see you again. I always said you’re a tough cookie :)
This will sound horrible but if parents want to reduce the chanced of diabetes complications in their kids they will pretty much have to dictate to them quite firmly. Unfortunately there is no easy way. Being soft is really not an option. Easy to say than do I'm sure.
keeping you blood pressure as low as you can get away with is helpful.. Think of the as high pressure filters.. Take the pressure off and hey will last longer.. Then their is the diet part. Going pretty close to vegan will extend their usefullness... I hate to say that one, since I would be up a creek if I had to do that.. 8^)
Hey Allie. Your kinda cute. Anyways I have diabetes and had a TIA mini stroke recently. I see that you have made a really good recovery from your stroke. Good luck with your new kidney. I have a friend who needs a liver and they just dropped him from his medical coverage so he is scrambling to find the drugs he needs.
@TiredOldFart ... that is particularly why a 100% raw fruit & vegetable juice / liquidarian diet is so appropriate to help reduce exogenous insulin adoption whilst also helping repair endogenous insulin production ...
@NickGraceyWATerian Surely you're kidding. She's type I and has no endogenous production. Just what insulin do you think is going to cover these blood sugar spikes that your raw fruit juices cause? There is no c-peptide to protect her kidney from the soaring blood sugars your immediately available fruit sugars will cause. You should stop promoting things you have no clue about. You can harm other readers with your foolishness. Loaded with antioxidants? No, loaded with glycation. AGE
