i love the lakers, and there obviously was something gross happening behind the curtains. i love it when my team wins, and i hate it when they lose, but i hate more than anything for my team (or any team) to win unfairly and lose unfairly.
This kind of officiating makes me want to watch the NFL. I love basketball more than football but this is absolutely pathetically corrupt officiating.
People who hate the Lakers would like to be a part of a franchise with a few part of the tradition and success as they see in Lakerland.16 and counting..!
I can't imagine a G7 in the Staples with the Lakers losing against the Kings..
That's just ridiculous... I love how Kobe should only have 4 rings... And that team went south after there glory days look where they're now peja is a bencher and Bibby is on the heat in his last seasons.
Those free throw stats in the fourth quarter are ridiculous. The Lakers caught an unbelievable amount of breaks in that game. Bryant's elbow to Bibby couldn't have been more blatant.
It wasnt fixed. Why would the NBA not let the Sacramento Kings, who were one of the league's most popular teams at the time in the Finals, but then let Tim Duncan and the "No-Ratings" Spurs win 4 championships?
I love when people here say "Its been confirmed that it was fixed already".. I love when people act like something is factual because some kid on the bus told them it was true.
Please send me a link of the evidence that confirms it was fixed. I wont stay up all night waiting for it...
@Crazyplaya2000 Ill give you some evidence, go to video number 1 and look at 1:56 and notice shaq basically clotheslines Bibby and slams him into the ground no foul, then in this video Kobe elbows someone right in the face again, no foul yet Weber blocks a shot and got ALL ball and it was a foul? Im not a kings fan either i live in rhode island but this was an obvious fix to get the Lakers (bigger market team) to win because it makes more cash.
loved the way the video ended with all the quotes..shit makes me think twice about basketball..my favorite sport..its all about the money..EVERYWHERE!!!
Im sorry im not at all a lakers fann but if you watch this whole game it absolutely wasnt cheating the kings played HORRIBLE down the stretch its absolute bull shit to say this game was fixed
what the hell everything is taken out of context. I thought i was going to see the entire 4th quarter but its just mostly fouls called on the kings and bibby getting elbowed
There's no need to focus on the free-throws violation thing, it's really not game-changing. You got plenty of incredible game changing fouls and non-fouls calls for it. I wasnt following NBA during the called "lakers dinasty" so im new with this thing and makes me very angry both for the Kings and for the dinasties who made it the good way.
@NHCoD12 Of course they are. I were not very clear maybe, my point was to take away some importance about the non called zone invasion that jobsron complains about. And making the point at the incredible foul calls (that obviously ends in freetrhow attempts)
I present to you all the real 2002 champions , The Sacramento Kings !!!!!!
Lakers got league assistance and even with the refs giving them the game the kings still almost won . The lakers and fans that promote this Fake entertainment , your what a definition of what loser is .
everybody complains about the 27 free throws, but no one mentions any specific calls the Lakers did not earn(other than the light body contact from Pollard and the Kobe/Bibby no call).
- Funderburke's foul on Shaq (while Shaq was posting up)
- Vlade's 6th foul
Let's see, I've mentioned 6, plus the two you've mentioned (because the Bibby/Kobe no-call lead to Kobe somehow getting 2 free throws) makes it 8 incidents, so that's 16 free-throws that were unwarranted.
11 free throws in one quarter sounds about right, but 27? Yeah right.
@shimmyshimmyyahhh cheap defense is your excuse? you make my stomach cringe, defending the phantom calls. i bet you would not defend the kings if it was the other way around. i bet you think the elbow to bibby was not a foul too.
@aisyphayer it was 2 fouls, Bibby had his forearm around Kobe FIRST and pulled Kobe down after the elbow; could have been a turnover had Horry inbounded as Kobe was pulled down, luckily for LA, Horry didn't hurry, or the Kings get a steal. Refs had a bad angle.
Could've been a double foul, resulting in a jump ball, and with Shaq on the bench so LA could defend against the 3, it would have been Webber jumping with Samaki/Horry. But LA still led, Webber was ice cold, and Bibby had a bloody nose.
@aisyphayer us Laker fans wouldn't care much if this series didn't go our way... we won the year before AND the year before that so it doesn't matter. How many championships do the Sacramento Chumps have? oh that's right, none. Losers will always cry and bitch about how the calls didn't go their way... Losers are still losers at the end of the day.
@bobbyewing311 how is the first part of your comment related in any way to mine? and i can tell your man crush on kobe is too big to question. stick your nose somewhere else kid.
@bobbyewing311 It was manipulated by the league 2 refs Dick Bevetta and Bob delaney . Know what the hell your talking about before you make comments and look stupid , iam trying to do you a favor so you dont look like a jacksass . It wasnt bad by human err , it was game manipulation to give league assistance to the lakers.
@aisyphayer This clown shimmyshimmyyahhh would lie threw his teeth if it meant him protecting Kobe in his delusional mind . This person is in denial and a sad individual at that . The lakers are his life , if his mind accepted the fact that his team won on league assistance , and has become more fake then the wwe , This person would fall into deep depression and think about his own existence . The boy needs therapy and quick .
In 2002 the NBA league went Hollywood when the NBA commissioner David stern ordered 2 refs to manipulate the series when a small market Sacramento kings team taking the lead in the series 3-2 and Putting LA in risk of being eliminated . game 6 is the worst officiated game in NBA history with 27 fts in the 4th quarter alone full of phantom call to make sure LA won the game , why ??? the game is global the league will make 100x when LA is in the finals compared to a small market kings team
@killerchronic7 You think that way because you smoked your brain away . Arnie grape from whats eating gilbert grape , looks like a rocket scientist compared to you . Simple jack from tropic thunder looks like Einstein compared to you .
@killerchronic7 How did the kings lose fair and square if the refs were calling fouls on the Kings for hitting the air when lakers drove to the rim. CHRIS WEBBER DESERVES A DAM RING. HE WAS A MENACE OUT THERE!
And to think that if Shaq had shot his free throws at his usual abysmal percentage, the kings probably would've still won this game and eventually the championship.
@wyzmann32 Do some research before you make yourself look like a horses ass infront of everyone ..... opps too late , Fisher ran into Webber and Flopped 6 feet down the court
The Sacramento kings are the real champions of 2002 . When the league goes Hollywood and give league assistance to the lakers to make sure there not eliminated then its tainted .
this was probably the most exciting series for me to watch as a kid i admit lakers were good but the kings proved to be a better team and even shaq said they had a fight in their hands and it was one they couldnt win if it wasnt for stern. kings are the real 2002 champs plain and simple
Whinning ass Queen's video, huh? Well, why don't you post game 5 of this series, that was the second worst refereed game in the history of the NBA, second only to game 2 of the 2008 NBA finals - Lakers vs Boston.
@Legend1One worst officiated games in the history of the nba game 6 2002 lakers vs kings. blog worote about that and game 3 2007 spurs vs suns get off the internet you dont know what the fuck you are talking about. so hit the road jack
@Legend1One youre an idiot if you think game 5 was badly officiated. games 4 and 6 were dumb in the series. stop being blind and get kobes dick outta ur head.
@ballin7077 Woman, go choke on a dick! That's what you can do. Game 5 in cow bell town, aka home of the Queens, was a real tragedy. Now, woman, this conversation is over. Period!
That would have been hard to do. The Nets (won 4 Atlantic Division titles in the '00s) were much stronger than the Celtics in the '90s (2 playoff teams)and early 2000s.
The Celtics were terrible from 1993-2001. 8 straight losing seasons with no playoffs. It wasn't the same Celtics teams you have now or pre 1993. Kind of like the current Knicks, good his year, terrible the last 7 seasons (losing records, no playoffs).
this series especially this game was fixed 100% it was even more fixed than the 2010 finals game 7 in the 4th quarter. but david stern and the refs fixed the game not the lakers.
shaq always shoots free throws like that, they would have to make a call on him every single time he shot a free throw since the beginning of his career.
@DJDALESS2 any team would have done the same thing, they wanted to win. THe LAkers didn't pay off the refs, but anyone would have used any advantage they got, in order to win. How do you know Phil JAckson told them to be aggressive? I'm being serious im not being sarcastic or anything like that
@clutchcity25 game 3? are u fucken kidding me? saying kings didnt deserve game 3? they won by 20 fucken points bitch. they ass raped the lakers and ur saying they didnt deserve it? LMAO. fucken laker faggot.
This series was meant to go to 7 games so it wouldnt matter if the lakers would have been up 3-2 it still would have gone to a game 7. so realy the only games that counted were games 1 and 7 at Sacramento and the Lakers won both.
@Novadolla hey stupid you know that the refs actually pleaded guilty saying that they called fouls in favor of L.A cause they thought it was better for the NBA to have another game.. Fuck cheating ass LA!
i like how some of the sports writers in LA even know that the lakers shouldnt have won that game yet the laker fans are so stuck up that they think they won fair and that its just everyone hating on the lakers
OMG!!!!! kobe just decked bibby and they dont call FUCK! i was a huge laker/shaq fan this time but even this pissed me off. lost alot of respect for them and this is the reason ppl compare kobe to jordan...kobe never got bailed out of a game by refs-it was usually the opposite!
christie fouled kobe with the body and turkoglu was slapping rick fox even before he made his move...GTFOH typical laker hating..as if the kings didnt get calls all series cause divac flopping. Bibby was holding kobe on the inbound they should of called the foul before he fell
@novadolla You are the stupidest fucking person ALIVE. The Lakers had more free throw attempts in the fourth quarter than in a normal game. Where do all of those lie? Calls on Divac and Pollard who are guarding Shaq but are still getting called and from bullshit offensive fouls because Delogna, or whatever that ref's name is, thought it was a good idea to extend the series to 7 because he thought it was for the good of the NBA. Need I mention this was the ONLY series that went to 7 that year?
@JharozRain lol dude like i said rightfully so the kings were fouling, it was ridiculous. Also kobe got fouled in gm 5 while going for the gm winner, and that was a no call, how about all those gay fouls they called on shaq (fouling him out), both teams got bad calls against them like i said GTFOH with this one sided bias bullshit.
NBA officiating has always been the worse of the major pro sports and it isn't even close. It started back in the 80's when Stern bred this culture of giving the superstars (Magic, MJ, Bird, etc) preferential treatment. The "oh he's a rookie when he has a few years in the league he'll get that call" attitude was built under Stern's watch. It has continued today.
I am not a Kings fan, nor a Lakers fan, but Sacramento did have another chance to close out this series in game 7. I'm not saying this game was officiated the right way, but this game didn't lose the series for the Kings, the Kings lost it for the Kings. In game 7, the Kings lost 112-106, and missed 14 free throws. If they made half of those misses, they would have won the game and gone to the NBA finals. And they only shot 2 for 20 for three.
@grateman10 you know everyone keeps saying that they had another shot and that is very true HOWEVER you have to look at it this way too if the refs didn't absolutely hand this game to the Lakers on a silver platter this series would have been over in 6, the Lakers went into game 7 with all the momentum and the Kings felt defeated after this thing that's a poor excuse for a basketball game that's my only problem with the argument that they had another chance to close it out.
@Skkarecrow Everything you said is true, but the Kings lost game 7 themselves. I know the Lakers had all the momentum and confidence, but like I said, the Kings only shot 16/30 from the free throw line in game 7. In my previous post I said if they made half of those misses, but if they made one of those misses there would not have even been overtime. And why do people complain about Shaq crossing the line in this video? He has gotten away with is his entire career, not just this game.
@grateman10 The Shaq thing I don't really have a problem with, but I mean I totally get where your coming from, but try to put yourself in their position for a minute you know your the better team you go into game six ready to close this thing out, the refs screw you repeatedly on purpose and you were still right there in the end until Kobe blatantly elbows your starting point guard in the nose and the refs don't call it. Game 7 your going to play tired and pissed off.and it screwed with them.
@grizzlychris2 LMAO we lost??? dude you're retarded. check the scoreboard, the history records and reality...stay mad though..what a waste of your life hahahha typical faggot
This game was indeed fixed. Fuck all Laker fans who deny it.
However, why are Kings fans so sure that they would've would've easily beaten the Nets? Stylss make matchups. The Nets' style back then was run & Gun and would've given the Kings a hard time. Not to mention that the Nets went 1-1 in the regular season against the Kings. A one-pointloss and a blowout win.
i must say...idk what all went on or what didnt go on, but what i can say is that When youre KNOWN as a player that flops or a "flopping team" that acts sometimes you dont get those calls that you probably should, cuz they might think that you're flopping all the time. so you may get a call here or there, but it can haunt you in the long run.
Lakers versus the Lakers. I died when I saw that quote And @ ThePatriot I know it is ridiculous and there was a ref like three feet away staring at them.
Ridiculous, it pisses me off more everytime I see this. David Stern needs to be executed for ripping fans off. At worse the game should have been played again immediately after if there was an unbiased review of the game. He should be tried in US court and a specific exemption should be given to allow for his execution in public. Just call me up, I would gladly be the executioneer.
Oh well too bad because the fans aren't going away and neither are the Lakers so deal with it.

- As for Vlade's foul on Shaq, he rides him all the way on the shot. Cheap defense. The refs were told to watch for this in the pregame memo.
- If you think Hedo played good D and did not foul Fox, I bet people love playing pickup ball with you.
- Funderburke committed a loose ball foul on Fox, not Shaq, obvious foul anyway.
- Christie bumps Kobe twice, enabling Webber's block
- Thats a hand check on Fundy!

Whinning ass Queen's video, huh? Well, why don't you post game 5 of this series, that was the second worst refereed game in the history of the NBA, second only to game 2 of the 2008 NBA finals - Lakers vs Boston.
Legend1One 6 months ago
@Legend1One worst officiated games in the history of the nba game 6 2002 lakers vs kings. blog worote about that and game 3 2007 spurs vs suns get off the internet you dont know what the fuck you are talking about. so hit the road jack

Anyone ever wondered why the Nets vs. Celtics series wasn't rigged since it would of set up Lakers Celtics.
dodogrko 6 months ago
@dodogrko
Go Spurs!

this series especially this game was fixed 100% it was even more fixed than the 2010 finals game 7 in the 4th quarter. but david stern and the refs fixed the game not the lakers.

1Undertaker14 7 months ago
This series was meant to go to 7 games so it wouldnt matter if the lakers would have been up 3-2 it still would have gone to a game 7. so realy the only games that counted were games 1 and 7 at Sacramento and the Lakers won both.
morsamyers01 7 months ago

DBZrulez476 7 months ago
OMG!!!!! kobe just decked bibby and they dont call FUCK! i was a huge laker/shaq fan this time but even this pissed me off. lost alot of respect for them and this is the reason ppl compare kobe to jordan...kobe never got bailed out of a game by refs-it was usually the opposite!
WiltisGod 7 months ago
christie fouled kobe with the body and turkoglu was slapping rick fox even before he made his move...GTFOH typical laker hating..as if the kings didnt get calls all series cause divac flopping. Bibby was holding kobe on the inbound they should of called the foul before he fell
novadolla 7 months ago
@novadolla You are the stupidest fucking person ALIVE. The Lakers had more free throw attempts in the fourth quarter than in a normal game. Where do all of those lie? Calls on Divac and Pollard who are guarding Shaq but are still getting called and from bullshit offensive fouls because Delogna, or whatever that ref's name is, thought it was a good idea to extend the series to 7 because he thought it was for the good of the NBA. Need I mention this was the ONLY series that went to 7 that year?
JharozRain 7 months ago
@JharozRain lol dude like i said rightfully so the kings were fouling, it was ridiculous. Also kobe got fouled in gm 5 while going for the gm winner, and that was a no call, how about all those gay fouls they called on shaq (fouling him out), both teams got bad calls against them like i said GTFOH with this one sided bias bullshit.
novadolla 7 months ago

NBA officiating has always been the worse of the major pro sports and it isn't even close. It started back in the 80's when Stern bred this culture of giving the superstars (Magic, MJ, Bird, etc) preferential treatment. The "oh he's a rookie when he has a few years in the league he'll get that call" attitude was built under Stern's watch. It has continued today.

@CamUp52 Ya it was all Refs and David Stern..and Sacramento had their chances to win this series..but they fell short..
garryOBJ 7 months ago
I am not a Kings fan, nor a Lakers fan, but Sacramento did have another chance to close out this series in game 7. I'm not saying this game was officiated the right way, but this game didn't lose the series for the Kings, the Kings lost it for the Kings. In game 7, the Kings lost 112-106, and missed 14 free throws. If they made half of those misses, they would have won the game and gone to the NBA finals. And they only shot 2 for 20 for three.
grateman10 7 months ago
@grateman10 you know everyone keeps saying that they had another shot and that is very true HOWEVER you have to look at it this way too if the refs didn't absolutely hand this game to the Lakers on a silver platter this series would have been over in 6, the Lakers went into game 7 with all the momentum and the Kings felt defeated after this thing that's a poor excuse for a basketball game that's my only problem with the argument that they had another chance to close it out.
Skkarecrow 7 months ago
@Skkarecrow Everything you said is true, but the Kings lost game 7 themselves. I know the Lakers had all the momentum and confidence, but like I said, the Kings only shot 16/30 from the free throw line in game 7. In my previous post I said if they made half of those misses, but if they made one of those misses there would not have even been overtime. And why do people complain about Shaq crossing the line in this video? He has gotten away with is his entire career, not just this game.
grateman10 7 months ago
@grateman10 The Shaq thing I don't really have a problem with, but I mean I totally get where your coming from, but try to put yourself in their position for a minute you know your the better team you go into game six ready to close this thing out, the refs screw you repeatedly on purpose and you were still right there in the end until Kobe blatantly elbows your starting point guard in the nose and the refs don't call it. Game 7 your going to play tired and pissed off.and it screwed with them.
Skkarecrow 7 months ago
@grateman10 that doesnt matter. kings should have won the series 4-1 or 4-2. game 7 shouldnt even have occurred.
ballin7077 7 months ago

grizzlychris2 7 months ago

HowlingJongo 8 months ago
Ridiculous, it pisses me off more everytime I see this. David Stern needs to be executed for ripping fans off. At worse the game should have been played again immediately after if there was an unbiased review of the game. He should be tried in US court and a specific exemption should be given to allow for his execution in public. Just call me up, I would gladly be the executioneer.
