No glam, no make up, no hair- gel and none of the glamour to attract extra attention. Just tight blue jeans. Still, he was perhaps the most celebrated vocalists in in relation to his band. But you can't copy SP's soul and that is what always came through in his beautiful music!

Good Lord! I had played this before but did not catch that Steve Augeri was in that line-up. That was a real cheap shot by the UN-Journey band. All they seem to do is find a new karaoke singer every few years. At least when Van Halen replaced David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar they had a new sound! I've always wondered what the underlying reasons were for Steve going his own way. I'm not talking about his hip surgury or being burned out from non stop touring. I have to wonder about any tension that existed among the band members, especially perhaps between him and Neil Schon. Maybe one day we'll see a short "reunion tour" for us old schoolers. That would be cool.

The Walk of Fame Ceremony took place in 2005, NOT 2006! I was there! Oh, what an INCREDIBLE day!

Lets consider this.Would Journey have sold 50 million records if SP hadn't been the original Lead Singer? All personalities aside - Steve Perry is" the man " ," THE VOICE " of Journey.100's of guitarists could've taken NS's place and Journey would've still been GREAT. It was the voice that made this band.When you hear someone mention the band Journey who do you think of? And to think that NS didn't want to do ballads.He almost cheated us out of an opportunity to hear the Best Ever shine.

618hunt - well said. They received platinum and gold status with Steve the VOICE. Those records STILL sell and thank you to Steve for remastering several of them and going back to put the Houston Escape show live on DVD. Steve is for the fans..ALWAYS and FAITHFULLY.. Without Sp The Scarab wings are forever clipped and cannot soar to the heights once reached before. There is no Journey without Steve Perry.

Was Greg Rolie there? He was with the band longer than Augiere. But then he got into the hall of fame when Santana was inducted and they didn't mention Neal on that one.

What the hell is Augeri doing there? Everyone knows Journey is about the voice, Steve Perry. Augeri, while a good singer, could never come close to the vocal powers of Perry. He had nothing to do with Journey getting a star and should not have been included. Good God.

If anyone deserved to be there at the presentation of Journey's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was STEVE PERRY. If it weren't for him, Journey would never have been the smashing success that they were.
Too bad the other band members didn't remember that when they turned their backs on him when he had health problems. STEVE PERRY IS THE VOICE OF JOURNEY ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

I've always wondered what the underlying reasons were for Steve going his own way. I'm not talking about his hip surgury or being burned out from non stop touring. I have to wonder about any tension that existed among the band members, especially perhaps between him and Neil Schon. Maybe one day we'll see a short "reunion tour" for us old schoolers. That would be cool.
