Yea Mirka's got a decent serve, and she's a good baseliner, she just can't volley.

it's funny how they were comparing Hewitt's and Federer's service motion, and the commentators completely favouring hewitt's serve. who would have known that a few years later, Federer would be superior in every single way.

I know. They aren't even comparing the same variety of serve. Federer is clearly hitting a topspin serve, maybe even a kick serve (2nd serve), when you analyze the pronation, whereas Hewitt is clearly hitting a flat serve (look at the forward extention). The same goes for the comparison between Molik and Mirka. Mirka is clearly hitting a spin serve, when Molik is hitting a flatter serve. And I'm biased towards Molik because I love the fact that she has a great kick serve in a women's power era.
