Am Very disappointed with Shelly Anne fraiser running the anchor leg there. she simply hasnt fot the stamina to match Jeter, and I still dont understand why the Womens Jamaican relay team exclude VCB from the relay nowadays. shes the only one that can actually compete against Camerlita Jeter and co.

Shelly Ann Frasier was not the best candidate to run the anchor leg, her strength is in her first half of the race, but her top end speed is not good enough for an anchor leg especially against Jeter, who was a slow start but incredible top end speed.

Her 10.73 PR speed did show but her top end speed is no match for Carmelita Jeter and Shelly-Ann Fraser shouldn't have ran the anchor leg against her anyway. At this juncture, it is OBVIOUS that you don't know anything about track. If you did, then you will take to consideration that Shelly-Ann Fraser victories comes most likely from her starts and not her top end speed.

No doubt she ran like she was the reigning world and Olympic champion in the 100 because she had little competition. She was simply scared of Jeter because of her intimidating speed and she let up instead of battling.

@bhodgerrr That is true but the difference between this race and Berlin is that she ran anchor instead of 2nd leg. She really had no business matching up against Jeter when it comes to the anchor leg; that spot most likely belongs to Kerron Stewart or Veronica Campbell-Brown. In this race Allyson Felix second leg is what made the USA Blue stand out in this race and could've been worse if their wasn't a problem with the exchanges between Miki Barber and Carmelita Jeter. Fraser should've ran 2nd.

This is not Jamaica's best team in relays. Most jamaicans know that this is just a pick-up team. So I think the commentators are a bit misled. There is no great Jamaican womens relay team without VCB. Thats simply the facts.

@AGGREYASHA At what level of the sport? Youth, competes against their counterparts. You don't run against a nation, you run against who's on the track. MANY of the athletes with probably the better talent have chosen football, basketball, baseball over the likes of T&F, even soccer. Its certainly not about "how many people are in a country, because you still have to line up and run against whomever is on the track. That population argument is invalid. Track is major in Jamaica, not the US.
