I fell in love with Patsy's version of this beautiful Hymn the first time I heard it, and it only becomes more beautiful with the years. Her version stands above all the others I have heard, it is obvious she feels this song deep in her own soul. Patsy was just wonderful. Its perfect. Thank you so much for another marvelous posting.
I just finished looking at Cline's discography on Wikipedia and I cannot find the stats for this recording listed. I believe it was recorded in the late 1950's but would someone please help me with this. The Wiki needs to be edited because how could they leave this out. Was it not a commercially released recording?
@kdegru This is a CD i've had since I was little. The CD is American Legends Patsy Cline. i'm going to private message you the link to buy it on Amazon.com because it won't let me post it here. it is an amazing CD. I have loved it since I first heard it.
Classic Patsy, I absolutely love her style, there will not ever be another Patsy. This song has been on my mind, for a few weeks and hearing Patsy sing it helps a LOT!!!! It was a very sad on that day of her passing on, but she at home in heaven and I'm sure the Angels are enjoying her singing.
every time i hear this song it breaks my heart because it was played at my nan's funeral. she would always look out for me and my family and would understand my problems when no-one else would and i'd never forget her no matter what happened
I only have vague memories of my grandfather. I remember hugging my grandmother and grandfather at the airport when I was a wee lad. They will be forever missed.
My grandfather had this played at his funeral.. every time I hear it I want to cry, but I can't.. I just get this warm feeling and have to smile a little.. it's like he's right there trying to say it's okay, and he's home where he should be. I miss you so much Grandpa.. I love you =(
I know what that is like. You and your grandfather are in my prayers. Remember the good times and they will guide you gently through life. Smile and be happy. He would want that.
@snaps4108 your grandfather sounds as though he might have made an impression on you.i hope you remember to also have that closer walk with our savior ,remember grampa would have wanted it that way.

I want this played at my funeral also. This song is so special and the Jordanaires participation has much to do with that.
