so this machine is freely for sale in our country. the price is about $10'000 which is higher than official PIU but reasonable(for indifferent arcade owners) due of it custom duty and carriage expenses.. We have at least dozen of this machine all over the country and 2 - on the capital.

the machine hardware is not as neat as it looks. the buttons and free partitions on pad are made of nylon so it bends widely under your weight and when you dancing it gives you a veeery unsafe feeling like floundering in swamp. The sensors are done unwisely and often get stuck. Moreover the computer in set has power barely to launch stepmania, so it usually lags...(to be continued.. search for part 2)

and yes - developers know absolutely nothing about stepmania. all adaptation works were done very crude, so you have to be careful not to make it crush(ex. do NOT choose an "endless mode", cause all courses are erased). in playlist you will find a dozen of questionable easy stepcharts of local pop music, whole arcade ddr songs, itg(1-3), some "keyboard" ddr songpacks - all playable with autogen.(witch means most of in unplayable) No piu, nor piu-pro, nor custom piu-charts.

Wow, that machine looks very well done. Shame they don't seem to know a thing about how stepmania works, all of those files are autogenerated. Fit that with stepmania 3.9+ and get a nicer theme, and get all of the piu simfiles and they got themselves a (still highly illegal) cashcow.

Actually it's not a DDR cabinet, I have never seen a DDR or a PIU cabinet like this. They built their own cabinet and put Stepmania in it. They definitely copied the PIU pad design, the arrow design is a complete rip-off.

Oh to do with doing the voiceover, i was tried and just uploaded the video on the same day as ATEI, end of story. I couldn't be asked to changed the video.

Stepmania is completely legal, it's the content on it that determines if it's legal or not, which in the PIU SM case, it is illegal.

You were right about it being illegal, but wrong about ITG's illegal reasons.

ITG was NOT sued for using the stepmania engine and stealing DDR's idea, as using DDR's 4-panel idea was worked out with Konami before the release of ITG 1.

ITG was sued for allowing upgrade kits on DDR machines.
