  • reason why you shouldn't sing while on hardcore drugs

  • i love gypsy but i have to admit that stevie sounds HORRIBLE in this performance!! she was probably on drugs and was not focusing on how she sounded.

  • CAMERAMAN, Y U NO FOCUS ON GUITAR DURING SOLO!!!

  • She almost didn't make it because she was snorting a line backstage...

  • I will always love you,Stevie

  • she sounds great in the studio album....

    she sounds awful here.

  • Stevie looks amazing and sounds great - will always love her!!!!

  • Great song thanks

  • Super Special Song.

    Stevie Sings Sweetly.

    Beautiful Best Ballad,

    GYPSY- GREAT!!

    Fleetwood- Fabulous.

    Mac-Magic.

    Stevie Nicks-Sizzling.

  • great version

  • Check out Kelsey Montanez....she writes all her own music

  • It is just one of the all time best especially after viewing the music video u appreciate this. As a performer I track down this type of piece just to see the transition from a "fantasy" to the reality of live performance which is truly the most difficult to master well. Pat Benitar use to face her band while performing until she was comfortably set in the venue of the nights's gig.

  • fab video. Do you know where i can get this tour on DVD please. looking for it for ages :). if you can give me some ideas where i can buy it. thank you.

  • They suck live, all the good performers live are British. Pink Floyd, no one can come close to being that good live.

  • @missfreakypants UHHHHHHH, Hall & Oates, Doobie Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, Chicago any of thise. I've seen 90% of the bands out there and those I mentioned are a great show.

  • @missfreakypants Gypsy is a difficult song to reproduce live on stage. Lindsey so overproduced the song that it is impossible to make it sound anything like the studio version on stage. I think that is why the song was basically removed from their live shows for 15 years. Also, there is NO reason why Stevie should have to be running to her mike to begin singing. Constantly changing clothes & snorting another rail of coke could wait until one of Lindsey's songs when Stevie was never needed.

  • @redletter2008 Man, I think this sounds great. I love the tone of Lindsey's guitar, the melody that he plucks out, and how it sits on Chritine's bed of Hammond. It's got a great fell to me. Just my opinion. I also love the Lindsey/Stevie drama, they don't even acknowledge that the other is even on the stage !!

  • @bwdrums1 I did like The Dance version. Stevie's voice was changing at this time ('82). She's still trying to master the lower register & there is an awkwardness (IMO) to her Mirage tour vocals. I still love her voice here. Much better than the Rock A Little to Street Angel vocal period (painful). Stevie rarely ignored Lindsey (seemingly staring at him constantly), but pretty much acted like the 3 FM Brits were invisible. I never liked how she completely ignored Chris on stage. Rude.

  • @redletter2008 It's great to hear your opinion, your breadth of knowledge about the Mac is deeper than mine. Are you Brittish (I'm American)? There seems to be a sensitivity with regard to Buckingham and Nicks. If so, how do you feel about the Bob Welch era ? Thanks.

  • @bwdrums1 Proud Yank here! Though I have always admired the UK and the musical contributions of the British people. Fleetwood Mac is a delightful combination of Anglo-American talent. A base of British blues accented and augmented by California mysticism by two rocking free spirits. IMO, only the Beatles surpassed the chemistry of FM. Great personalities only surpassed by the music of the group as a whole. Chris' departure diluted that chemistry, though the 4-some is still potent.

  • Such a great song...added bonus of having the greatest guitar solo of all time at the end

  • spine tingling perfection! i just love this concert.

  • I had the privilege of seeing Fleetwood live in Adelaide for the 2004Tour. I've seen the most popular artists live in the last 15-20 years. I've seen U2,Pink Floyd,Chilli Peppers,GNR,ACDC,Metallica,Foo Fighters,Eminem,Pearl Jam,FaithNoMore,Madonna,Whitney,Cher,Beyonce,Kylie,Robbie,B.Eyed Peas&Pink(for all 3 concerts)While Pink is THE BEST performer&has the best live show I have EVER seen. Stevie's a purely talented non lipsyncing vocalist, at over 50 she rocks&is so much better live.

  • 0:15 where she was coming from? taking a crap perhaps?

  • I watch Fleetwood Mac videos on youtube just for Lindsey Buckingham.

  • Awesome performance! I love it. Though..... I can't help but think Stevie was almost late to the mic because she was doing a line backstage.

  • @AdIgnorantiam She probably was. It was that bad.

  • @AdIgnorantiam totally what I was thinking

  • @AdIgnorantiam Even if that's true, it didn't take anything away from this performance. Voice is one of a kind and the lyrics are dead on great.

  • In the world we live today ... Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan etc ... it's so wonderful to know it wasn't always like this. We, at one time, had a young and vibrant Stevie. She's so lovely and amazing. Thank you for this.

  • Many modern artists couldn't write /play a song to save their lives.

With synthesized vocals talentless artists with the musical ability of a goldfish will continue to be the idol's of the next generation. By doing this we are teaching our children you have to look&act like a spoilt, starved, drug addicted hooker to be famous, talent counts for NOTHING!!! This is why Paris, Lindsey&Brittney have the power they possess. You only have to sell your soul&have zero morals to be a pop culture icon.

  • @kellindarain I agree. That's why, if I ever have kids I'll be showing them Fleetwood Mac and other artists with real talent.

  • 7 dislikes here have no taste for music.

  • She really has a wonderful spirit about her that comes out in her creativity and her performance.

In an interview she described how she visited Walter Reed Hospital and gave out a boatload of I pods, she bought with her own money, to the wounded soldiers here. This is above and beyond just being classy - God Bless her

  • lo dicho,esta mujer es un angel,que voz,DIVINA,gracias

  • Thank you

  • my favorite all time-- love Stevie

  • She's so beautiful and a great voice to match her beauty! This is what you call a "CLASSY LADY"!!!

  • this is priceless. stevie is priceless. i so appreciate getting to actually see this gem. and yes, lindsey is the best guitarist ever in my opinion.

  • this is priceless. stevie is priceless. i so appreciate getting to actually see this gem.

  • awful...her darkest hour...she's coked out to the limit...and almost demential...and her voice is affected

  • @joaquimaugustoleal its so sad how they fell into that :( i see what u mean with the voice how its not how it usually was.

  • the best gypsy ive seen or heard

  • very nice. I understand the song was written as a tribute to a late friend.

  • Stevie is a person who loves music. I have never heard her get angry (in public) about her situation with Fleetwood Mac. She is always so calm....GOOD FOR HER!!!

AND SHE IS SEXY AS HELL

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE!!! ILY!!!

  • velvet underground

  • love how her voice quivers.

  • I see my gypsy!

  • Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham a living soap opera that unfortunately for the audience, did not have a happy end. Both, rare and wonderful musicians never the less

  • I really love this song! I sing it on my Emilydogcat channel :)

  • would love to know what Lindsey is saying to Christine about 2:50!

  • i honestly think stevie was and is the best female singer ever

  • HUGE Stevie fan!!! But I think these were still the coke days for her. Her voice vocally sounds better now. You can hear the damage done to her vocal cords in this video.

  • many thanks for uploading this again.

  • God! She almost totally missed her cue at start. She was in a full run to get to center stage. How did she run in those awesome platforms??. Funny. I love her.

  • She sounds incredible.

  • My Godd im 27 and would have loved to be bornt B4 so i had gone to a this concert ahhhh just ,will they ever come to peru?

  • @maria461 ~~~ no, they will never really come to Peru.

  • Stevie made it on raw talent. These days half the singers dont write their own lyrics or even know how to play an instrument. They rely on electronic voice enhancement to make up for what they lackin talent. Few of todays performers will still be able to sell out an arena in 40 years. Stevie is in a league of her own.

PS You cant spell crap without rap !!!!

  • @nfd24norf you could not have said it better! :)

  • @nfd24norf i completely agree!

  • @nfd24norf Hell Yeah !

Stevie should set up a label or something that only signs artists and groups that have the potential to be this amazing on raw talent, like she is. That would bring real music back and rescue the poor excuse for a music industry we have nowadays.

  • @nfd24norf understand what your saying and everything but i hate the people that hate on everything. Everyday take is for what anything is.... Don't get me wrong LOVE the older stuff but just dont hate on anything.. Everything has their niche! :)

  • @nfd24norf listen and watch pearl jam,, they are one of your few, and do it live better than anyone, including fleetwood mac

  • Stevie Nicks with Lyndsey Buckingham a time was music was made by musicians. Magical

  • la melodia de la guitarra... como una puesta de sol (sunset) que se lleva consigo la ternura de una epoca nuestra reflejada en LB

  • whatever happened to music? purely amazing.

  • Essa ai cheirou muuuito!!!!!

  • a great clip, brilliant song, great vocal, great band , and Lyndsey Buckingham's outstanding guitar ;; Excellent!

  • one good ting about Fleetwood Mac is that they always change their songs a bit during concerts

  • Stevie, poetry in motion.

  • the thick atmosphere of relationships, and the poetry..great!

  • ahh love dis song!!

  • I saw that pink suit at the rock and roll hall of fame! I almost passed out (they had the rhiannon dress! and her ballet shoes from the Rumors cover!)

She had just kicked that bad habit just around this time I think. She looks a lot healthier than in past performances.

This song is my theme song. No lies. It's one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. I might sing it in solo ensamble for choir festival (:

    this, Landslide, or Sara...so unsure.

  • Amazing.

  • 5 fucking stars.

  • i love this song!

  • fair comment we all have our favourites but why mention neil young writes great songs but typical yank ie thinks everybody

is interested what is going round in his little head just write another song numb nuts you cant change nothing

  • stevie is rock and roll with style and beauty! :))

  • lyndsey is a far better guitarist than mark knopfler. perhaps not better than clapton, but knopfler is in the niel young catagory for me, good and writes cool stuff, but not of the same skill level

  • haha clapton is a joke

  • mark n Lindsey are the same to me. thats jut my opinion. there the best.

  • Stevie Nicks... i LOVE that woman!

  • a land where life is cheap

  • Simple solution...shoot yourself, or get the fuck out.

  • i love your answer to the idiot! bless you!

  • Comment removed

  • y would her name be feared?

  • who would be afraid of her?

  • stevie is like awesome stuff, gotta love her.

  • Wow Stevie is clearly still hurt from her Best friend Robin who died. Stevie has heart...It's weird my best friend died two years ago & when he would get ready to go out this is the only song he would sing.

I love U David Edward White.. Ill see you again.. I loved you putting it mildly..TMB

  • nice almost raw version of Gypsy. Thanks for posting it!!

  • Stevie and Lindsey were just awesome in '82 with this song!! Fucking awesome! Lindsey, you are the SHIT!!!

  • Fleetwood Mac makes me relaxed in a way I can't describe

  • I feel relaxed when I'm sucking a big dick!!

  • i love the gypsy video too and yt delelted it. :(

  • Och my God, my childhood's back on track!!!

Can't anyone find that wonderful video???

    It was so magic!!!

  • This song's got so much feeling. I love it

  • Simply Gorgeous!!!!!!!

  • that you for uploading this, I just loved this!

  • I saw this concert a couple of times, and had the great pleasure of meeting them. And they're really nice people...The video of this song is absolutely beautiful:}

  • I love his guitar solo at the end. And look at Stevie's coke hair!

  • She's beautiful!

  • what do you mean "coke" hair?!

  • What I meant was, imagine all of the coke she was on when she feathered her hair. They did a lot of coke in that band.

  • why keep bringing up that shit?! let it die.

  • Because it's hilarious, that's why. I love that line in Sid and Nancy when Nancy puts that dress on, looks at her reflection, and yells, "AH! I look like fuckin' Stevie Nicks in hippie clothes!"

    It's a great song though.

  • nancy was famous by association

stevie is a self made goddess with actual talent. :)

  • Well said! I'm sick of people looking at Stevie and all they see is 'coke'. I wish they would fucking get over it - SHE DID - years ago! The woman is a survivor and still wonderful.

  • Grew up with fleetwood mac, love them! Thanks for posting this...

  • was annoyed that the other version was removed.thanks for posting.i love this and it gives me goosebumps.

  • As soon as she hit "I still see your bright eyes" I was in tears. Stevie poured her soul into this performance of Gypsy. I've never seen anything else like it.

  • Thanks for posting the video and also for adding the lyrics and other info.

  • i dont know how to say this with out coming off like a dick but Stevie Nicks sounds like a goat being castorated while developing a hemorroid at the same time. I know its her 'style' and thats what make her unique and talented but not to my ears

on a positive note- i love that guitar riff/crazy-fast-plucking starting at 3:45

i cant get it out of my head

  • if you do not like her, buzz the fuck off!

  • I need to read 1983! I have the record. Anyone rememer the video played on M -TV? Voted best video of the year ... where Stevie dances away from the Canyon and the glitter is raining down on her. Clasic video.

  • LB is a bastard here... no support for Stevie at all.

LB is so talanted but without SN voice Fleetwood would have remained a cult band.

They are all very good but Stevie Nicks is the actual lead singer and front person.

  • If LB is a bastard here, SN is a bastardess. They were all so hopped up on shit all the time I'm surprised they could perform at all and escape with their sanity intact.

  • go back to your fucking rap shit! stevie nicks rules!

  • Let 'em grungey nineties desperate zero generation show their total stupidity: they still think they always knew better than the guys who came way before them and destroyed the world of r'n'r... YOU DON'T FUCKIN' BELONG TAE FLEETWOOD MAC, GET BACK TAE YER SHITE!!!

    Totally seconded, mate.

Lindsey, you're a true guitar hero.

  • Every generation behind the current generation thinks the new gen is stupid. It's a hoot to see it in effect. Those in the 50's thought the 60's were stupid 60's thought the same of the 70's. History is a revolving door foor a lot of us.

  • This time though, it's them youngsters who think we're stupid!!! The opposite way round!!!

  • Haha That's true. O.o I would know because I am a youngster.

But, I actually listen to *semi* GOOD music.

  • Not every youngster's a hyper-self-booster who thinks he/she knows more than the rest...

    Luckily!

I'll never say I know more than you, I'd say I was there to testify and so there's some more years I know of, and that's all.

  • I know for a fact that the generations before me know more. They've had more experience and obviously they have more knowledge.

  • No, that's not always true, it depends.

We've seen more, most of all we've had the chance to witness more, but there's also people here who never got out of their rooms in 40 years, so... what do they know? -:)

  • That's true.

  • America is the WORST country in the world.

  • GYSPY?

  • What year? 1997? Saw them with Cristie @ Polaris Ampitheater in Columbus, Ohio-Dance Tour 1999/2000.

  • i cant get this song out of my head.

  • I just saw them perform in Boston last week and they were amazing and sounded best I've ever heard them sound.

Stevie said this song was about when she would take her mattress off from her bed frame and lay on the floor and dream, dream about what she would be doing if she had never been a singer.

She also said don't get me wrong, I love this and you all know that, but that's a little background on the song.

  • hi ,John from the uk scotland. what a song and i havent seen the mirage tour video in so long ,as not on dvd yet. only little gripe i have about some of the mac live recordings is christine s keyboards are so far back in the mix.. .

  • sounds like she has a cold so they've tuned it down

  • probably a bit of columbian flu

  • LOL - glad she finally kicked that! It was an epidemic back then

  • it still an epidemic this side of the pond

  • Lindsey was, and will always be, the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac.... end story..... No Lindsay... No Mac.

  • Hey bds, have you heard of Peter Green???

  • Im 19 an abstli love this band!! id listen to this over the new crap we call music neday!! i have ta dvd too its not the best quality, i think its the equipment that recorded it, it was is the 80s guys lol but they still are great!! so what if they high most rocknroll bands r on some sorta drugs neway they still are legends if you dont like em dont waste ur time puttin down people that u r nothing to!! • Adorable. Love this song.

  • Most of those comments are very very very foolish The band FLeEwOoD mAc is one of britain greatest band Stevie Nicks is Fwood Mac, Lindsey is Fwood Mac The Mcvies& Mick are Fwood Mac learn to appreciate good band we're listening to machines right nowadays if you know what i mean?

  • Some of the comments on here are lame. Stevie Nicks has a voice that is unparralleled! She wirtes her songs too! This ai a recording of a recording, hence the bad sound. Its not her!!!!

  • Great concert video. I have a VHS tape version. This needs to come out on a legitimately released DVD, with extras! Can't wait to see these guys in May in OKC!

  • Holy vibrato Stevie...I know it's your trademark but sometimes less is more.

  • what the hell are you talking about?!

  • He isn't smirking he smiled

  • LOL ! getin, that's the dumbest thing I've ever read . OK, second only to the comment by Bettina

  • I can't wait to see them in Pittsburgh!!!!

  • Stevie Nicks was more about the expression of love for her fans and her vulnerability as an artist than being in perfect voice each performance. A rare and gifted pop star.

  • just a wish?

  • Courtney Love? Pah! Not even in the league, hell, not even in the same universe.

  • I still like it, though sounds like Courtney Love :) Did Courtney Love rip off her voice style?

  • she even looks like courtney love
