@zangazoo2007 Sorry, you're wrong. I don't know where you got that idea. This is completely unchanged from the early days of SSt. Trust me, I remember.
Gorgeous electronic sounds! It's because of "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company" that I became interested in sound design! Who's the voice? Peace.
I remember both this and the computerized '10' clip. I liked the computer animation and background sounds back then, and like them even more now, because they bring back those memories!
I know I'm probably way off here, but this guys voice makes me think of Morgan Freeman.. These clips seemed scary to me as a child. Now they're just plain weird!
Amen, brother! I remember this now! I loved this part! Are any of the other numbers on YouTube? There is currently only one Scanimate system still operational; it's owned by one of the people who helped develop it. I bet I could have some fun if I had one (of course, I have neither the money nor the room for it!) :(
I almost didn't recognize this one until the kids started cheering and laughing, especially when they showed those 69 polygons on the screen. That's when it hit home. Like time I saw this skit was when I was 3 or 4. YIPES!
wonderfull examples of early computer animation which TEC was quite known for. BTW, anyone have that 1 were luis and the kid were talking about the letter H?
um...ok i just found a nice little easter egg. i counted the many squares and guess how many there are. 69! HA HA HA HA!! i'm not kidding - count 'em yerself!!!
The music was done by Raymond Scott, the electrical engineer and former bandleader/composer, who invented many synthesizers and also composed a lot of quirky pieces of music that were used in Warner Brothers and Ren & Stimpy cartoons.
That was funny at the end with tons of squares showing up to count. I've never found either of these type videos scary-they're pretty fun. Man! They did such cool stuff with computers on Sesame Street in the 1980s! :-)
whew! a little less scary than the 10 one with that dead ghost dude. but the barry white voice still gives me the willies. and those fart-sounding noises in the background?? i like the funny surprise towards the end though.
I don't see no "Nobody".

There were 69 squares, before they turned into just 4! ;-D
ultragor 3 years ago 7
@ultragor I just counted those squares and came up with 69 as well. Rain Man's Dustin Hoffman's Raymond Babbit would have guessed 69 immediately!

Everyone keeps saying this guy's voice sounds like a serial killer or a child molester. I think he just sounds like a baritone black dude.
