@jravell @jravell LVAD stands for Left Ventricular Assisting Device(? spelling) it's a device which kept Denny Duqette alive while he was waiting for a new heart(it was helping kept his heart beating).Izzie cut the wire so he would be sick enough to be moved up on the transplant list,back in the Season 2 finale -just in case you haven't found out in the meantime :)
