  • good concept, but why would you throw with your front leg closed off? that's more strain on your core and arm in order to get through to the release point. and with more strain becomes more torque from the arm in your elbow and also in your shoulder. which is a main cause of bursitis in pitchers. im not being a smartass, im just expressing my point of view. ive been working with a trainer from the yankees for 6 years

  • i agree

  • he needs to stop opening up his front shoulder before his tuck makes his arm come threw a low angle instead of out in front of himself

  • good drill, but not exactly a great arm motion..needs more 'whip'

  • This dudes retarded

  • this dude is some shit his stride is like 3 feet

  • You should lift your leg ...For more speed and accuracy.

  • The major leaguers pitch like that you are a hell idiot awesomestuff121.

  • u have a locked leg that means more balls less strikes

  • anyone notice the spelling is off and how most of the videos from expertvillage are bull shit

  • why does everyone troll about him tryin to teach basics to pitching, and everyone teaches different. stop trolling behind your monitors nerds

  • wow ur stupid, thats not even how u pitch

  • At erichernandez56 I'm 12 and I can throw 65 all the tome u must of sucked in highschool did people hit homeruns off of u all the time????

  • @CaliforniaJacob77 if your trying to empress everyone by saying u throw 65 mph, no one cares

  • Throwing 50 at 14 sucks... Watch the LLWS Kids at 13 can throw 70.... I'm 13 and throw about 62-63

  • im 5 i can throw 96

  • lmao.... its called a figure of speech....namely sarcasm

  • hey mike its tyler hopper from the badgers how u doin

  • i swear..im not lying... i throw mid to upper 70's and im a freshman for a high school in new york . im not big at all, im just tall have lots of cuts on my muscles . along with that i have a VERY nasty curveball . best freshman curve in all of NYC ..i have great location of my pitches, i consitentely keep the ball low .. which is why im very succesful... i would say i usually hit about 78 mph. people say im very good for my age... do i have a good future if i work hard enough ?????

  • @FleaBoyRiick Well if you are throwing 70 in your freshman year your only gonna get better cuz in my freshman year I threw only about 55 but now I'm 18 and throw around 85-89.

  • @erichernandez59 well your an idiot you went from 55 to 90 in 4 years? NOT I'm 19 play collegiate baseball for a team in NAIA its a division between 1 and 2 and i throw about 86 not saying you dont throw hard but thats a big jump and it also depnds on the gun that saw you juggs guns read 3 to 5 mph higher than what you are really get a stalker gun and then se what you hit

  • This guy is clueless

  • I throw 79, but I cannot get anything else behind it because I am only 5' 10'' and 140 lbs. I was told I need another 20 lbs on me or another inch and a hlf on height before I can reach maximum velocity. My arm is built to throw hard and I have been able to throw 79 since I was 16, but nothing else happens. I get frustrated. lol I need to gain some weight to shift. Is a longer stride a power booster?

  • You talked about your arm, but do you spend any time with your legs, hips, and tris?

  • Im only 5'7 and was clocked in the mid 80s thru out HS. now i pitch in college and have hit as high as 89. the key is to build strong legs and strong core, that means abs. Dont worry about upper body, rubber tubes for ur shoulder are all you need to increase velo drastically

  • Well I dont pitch and im not going to estimate how fast i throw like many people on youtube.

  • i just turn 14 and i throw around 65-74. i think but i know for sure i dont throw less than 65. if yall dont bealive it i dont care

  • Im about to turn 14. And im trying out for jv in the spring. I used this and i throw 74 75ish. and you can believe me or you can't. i could care less.

  • low to mid 80s isnt that hard to believe for a 16 year old..

  • 10.5 and throwin 95+ mph

  • here, his stride isn't that big, but if you look at tim lincecum's stride, it's huge so whats the big deal

  • every body throws the 90 and 100 mph put a video the liers!!

  • im 16 i usually pitch betwen around 68-73 need professional help

  • No... you really dont tho

  • this is not good

  • Im 18 and i throw 93 Mph

  • I find that hard to believe. Austin Chrismon played varsety for the Menchville monarchs and got a scholership. and he throws 91 92mph. I've played his brother garrot and im 0-7 on him. he throws hard.

  • I really dont remember what i wrote on her if you could remind me and i dont know a garrot so and i really dont need to belieng about how fast my pitch is really im not 12 im 19 i think ican throw harder than 50

  • Obviously. 50 is A league status. not even. I doubt you throw any harder than mid 80s high 80s anyways

  • I do throw in the mid 80's high 80's

  • @ThirtyandSeven dud the guy pitched in the majors and played fr team canada

  • im 14 and i throw 55-60ish and everyone whos lieing about there pitching give it up cuz no ones buying

  • im 11 and i throw like 53-60 and it is annoying how people are like "im 8 and i throw 95 mph"

  • his glove side is soooo weak.

  • im 11 and i can pitch 60

  • What Eve!!! I am gonna be honest I am 13 and I can pitch 78 mph !!! Serious !!! Swear!!!

  • yeah but are you throwin from 60 ft or 45 ft

  • you ment to put 25 rite faggot

  • u shouldnt bend ur back cuz eventaully it will force your release poitn down and make you the master of the 58 foot pitch.

  • that sucked

  • huh? lol ok that makes since...what are you trying to argue?

  • good job on this video

  • lol do you little 12 year olds know how many kids your age can throw 60-70 mph ? and plus you guys are throwing from a little league mound... yeaaa whooo lol and yea thats thats equal to 89 mph fast ball from a major league mound...but guess what next year you guys are playing from a major league distance...60-70 mph from there... you guys are getting lit up all day long lol

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

  • do u pich 60 ft 6 inches

  • need sexy subscribers! plz s

  • lol this vid horrible

  • front side shoulder is flying with the back side rotation. You need to keep the shoulders closed slightly longer. If you have the time read the article in SI on Lincecume. It explains shoulder, hip seperation. I pitched in the minors for 5 years and just recently discovered this. You're doing what I always did and let my front side go with my hips instead of trying to keep the shoulders closed for as long as possible as to build tension in the torso and transfer the energy like a whip.

  • what team?

  • they say your stride should be 80% of your height or more

  • i just went to a showcase at UVa and they were showing us these throwing drills and they work for me.

  • control is everything =)

  • AMEN

  • You kids are 12 and don't even throw straight!

  • also my brother has a 64mph sinker,68mph slider,and a 59mph change-up.

  • how old is he? I just turned 17 and my sinker is about 75 but breaks a good foot and a half ... yes i know sounds impossible but its true my slider is the same but sideways instead of up and down its a lil faster though like 78 79

  • My brother(grizzlybears101)isn't lying he really can throw a 78mph fastball. He threw that fast about 7 times this season.

  • guys, 7th grade 78?

how big are you? i'm a sophomore for seton hall prep, last year number one in the nation. i guarantee, if you throw that hard, you're definitely older than 7th grade. i throw 81 btw. and i'm 16 years old.

  • I'm in 7th grade too and my fastest was 78 but i normally throw around 73-76 mph.I can also throw a football 60 yards without pads on but with pads I throw 50 yards(we use the youth size ball.)You may not belive me but I swear its true.

  • i have these same cleats. mizuno 9 spikes. theyre SOO light.

  • 7th grade? i'am pretty sure you are not throwing 73mph

  • dude im in 7th grade and i can almost throw 73mph

and if u actually knew hot to pitch you know about the back foot movment and everything else
