I used to like K.T. Tunstall - that is, until I heard this. This song has soul and raw emotion and feeling - to cover it with politically correct lyric tampering is an absolute crime of the highest order. It's like taking a shit on the Mona Lisa.

I guess I might choose just not to sing the song in that case but on the other hand, if I liked it enough then that probably wouldn't stop me. I guess she just wanted to cover it and this was the best way for her. I don't think its fair to say that people who feel wrong singing certain lyrics are necessarily 'worried about being PC'.

This is pathetic. None of the singing matches up to the lyrics in the way it was intended. The male singer is singing it like it's a straightforward love song instead of as a violently drunk love song, and Tunstall has none of Kirsty MacColl's personality.

Anyone who thinks this is better than the original is talking out of their ass.
