@Porkchoppa76 interesting but viking settlement and genetic input was very slight, I studied genetics for 5 years in york and aber uni. The reason for the blue and blonde hair is a mixture of the ruling later celtic cultured traders/people and also blue eyes began in the berber north africans who are proper mothers we share with people like the basques lol
Thank you I went to visit Cymru in September 2008 but did not had time to go into Anglesey Island..I went to discover my ancestors town Dyserth..Denbigshire on september 11 th of that year...I'm hopping to travel back "at home" when I'll be able to do it..
@ShermanM36 Dyserth was a welsh speaking community right up until 1960s....only a few ancient souls remain when I last went...too bland housing estates built and too many ppl poured in from NW england and not bothering to learn the old british language even though some of their ancestors were welsh!!...your ancestors used to live in a proud village..maybe one day it will return to former glory...I am being harsh to be truthful :)
Well yes Brittany is also a beautifull land ! But I have welsh ancesters so....................(I am quarter welsh, half french and a quarter of the eastern land near wales)
so really you didnt get many pics of anglesey in this vid as anglesey is full of farms and green fields this is the reason it is known as mon mam cymru because the mother fed the rest of wales with her crops and livestock. love the sound track any celt can relate to that its in your blood.
i live on an island just of anglesey call holy island an its the jewel on the crown if you ask me,yes angleseys beautiful but holy island is so much more. there are no mountains on anglesey there is a hill at holyhead on holy island that is known as holyhead mountain to the locals, so is south an north stack on holy island aswell as the breakwater.
It's hard to imagine a place (Angelsey) that is more prominent in the memories of our people. There are other sacred locations, no doubt, but if I could travel tomorrow...this would be one of my first stops on my ancestral spiritual pilgrimage. Thank you for sharing this my friend! Peace
@timelesstree its funny how english state/elite decided to use the word anglesey....as its origin is not english/saxon or norman....its viking!! they rather use the pillaging rapers than the locals name ;) hope u understand the comedy of it all
I love Wales!! I've been to Fishguard, Swansea,Cardiff and one more, can't remember :/ before and the areas nearby. And the music, simply inspiring! I've to fave this me thinks. 5 stars indeed but no, it's worth more than 5 stars! Look forward to my next visit for sure.
O WELL! Where you born here? because most people from away seem not to like it, But deep down its about how you live your life, for me I enjoy it. its a big buzz. I love the Island. SO! I,am NOT being funny but really I don't know what your on about. but! every ones difference. but aye! I do like reggae MAN! misty in roots rule or maybe burningspear
and I,ll never forget Bob Marley. EVER! He said..."One good thing about music, when it hits- you feel no pain" thats a briliant quote. Peace Man!
Excellent video, such a beautiful country! Thank you for sharing this.. I love the song too! I used it on my beautiful skies video! Great minds think alike! lol
Glad your heart in the right place and that you are still here. I Know what you mean, I've
