It seems he shared this to his audience on the tour of this album that he did push to get this on the soundtrack for the movie. My wife and I both recall that he mentioned this prior to singing the song.

Hi godeeper, Michael W. Smith actually just wrote this song and sang it in memoriam of the souls lost in the Titanic. It was not actually considered for the movie. Now if you have proof than I am incorrect, please feel free to tell me. I don't ever want to step on toes. It is just what I read in a Christian magazine.

This song is sooooo hard to learn on guitar... a bunch of sharps and a flat in there, not to mention some of those 7's and minors are hard to remember. One of my fevorite songs in the world though. Thanks for posting it Ash!
