how do you get that tone? is this the same kind of tone used in some jazz pieces?

put your pre volume on the clean channel full, roll off the tone knob, add some mids and your set

well i dont know what amp you have, but some have a master volume along with an individual channel volume

A true monster player. Jack's fingers glide on the fretboard so effortlessly. Much more than a "benchwarmer" for Trucks or Haynes, that just shows how much one doesn't know the guy.
