i have also CYMA042 ak47...just replace the stock batteries with BREMEN HAUS slim type 11.1 v 20c 1450mAh lipoly batteries..trust me u won't be needing ur charger for the next three games,just be careful in charging lipoly batteries..use lipoly chargers FIREFOX coz this have light indicators if it is fully charged.. len cruz.//phil.

@xDavJonathanx Just read the specs on the gun. Go to an airsoft site and find the battery section. Get a 9.6 volt battery. Large types probably won't fit. If the battery fits it's compatible.

@Eliterule213 a 9.6 will run out faster, you need a battery with a high mAh. mAh is the amount of power it can hold on a charge , the 8.4v or 9.6v part is the amount of volts the battery discharges at. a 9.6v will speed up the rate of fire but then in turn run out just as quick.

The stocks don't look like real wood. Maybe they just did a good polish job on it. Its amazing how it looks like the real deal. I wish they made toys like this when I was young! Well first off, the russians use laminated wood in their AKs. Currently they use polymer though.

The wood is really ugly, Chinese unsanded wood with a thick cheap lacquer. Sand it down and stain it. Then put a shellac or poly finish on it.

that was their paper confirming the gun is functional and it also has its chrono readings.

With CYMA AK-47 series rifles, there are two battery positions. On S-type rifles, the ones with a folding stock, the battery is placed under a removable piece on the top half of the weapon. There is a button at the back that releases the piece. On fixed-stock AK's, the metal part of the butt is removable, and the battery goes inside the hollow stock. S-type AK's use stick batteries.

Oh, yuk. I forgot how ugly the wood for them brand new looks, get a sharpie and some acetone, put some big filled round sharpie circles on parts of the wood, then get a cloth rag with some acetone on it and it'll make that wood look real nice.
