OK. I've watched it all. I think your intention to help him is good, but I think your way is completely fruitless and serves more to entertain those who agree with you than it does to reach the one you say you want to reach.
It's clear that he has such a low level of revelation that he's spiritually "thick." If you really care for his soul, pray that God will give you something to appeal to him.
That's why I wrote what I wrote. It didn't attack or mock him but my intent was to provoke thought.
I stopped the video to so that I could see Gordon Clark's name because I do not know of him, but I do question why you would quote such nonsense. It all sounds so "pious" but any honest man knows better.
Remember, "those who continue in sin rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may be fearful of sinning"? If Clark was right, that "no can possibly want to continue sinning," then Paul's words would have been, "Why do you allow pagans to pretend they are Believers?"
I just left three msgs. on jacksmack77's channel. Please read them in order and tell me what you think, 1689Baptist. (and anyone else for that matter)
BTW, I've not yet watched this new video and I was completely unaware of the apparent contention between you two and still do not know any of the details and therefore have no opinion whatsoever.
When I saw your title, I headed to his channel and watched one of his videos and then one he favorited by newjerus77.
BTW- "The young ones" Jesus was referring was those that were young or new believers. It isn't wise assailing the new found belief of those that just found Jesus Christ.
@1689Baptist I don't think it should concern you. "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me." We ALL start in darkness. The amount of light we first see varies GREATLY according to the grace given us. Remember, "don't think you chose me..." and "no man can come to me except the father ... draw him." Our job is to shine and love. To make the things of God appealing. Many start with such a low level of grace, no one can see it, but as it's fed and watered, God works in them to will and to do
@FORMETOKNOWONLY I believe in eternal security, there is NO ONE whom God justifies CAN go to hell, but I also believe in regeneration, being born again, which is a work of God, whereby God changes a mans desires to WANT to love and obey Him. That is the doctrine you deny. ALL those God justifies God WILL sanctify, it is a life long process of being conformed to the image of His Son.
@MrSuperchicken1 How absurd. I've been a Believer for 39 years and I've heard people claim, "I sin all I want to; I don't want to. Ha Ha Ha." Nonsense.
His mercies are new every morning because we need them every morning.
Pretenses of extreme sanctification where one never wants to do anything wrong, isn't tempted, always walks in obedience, has no sins of commission or omission is such absurd nonsense that it destroys every vestige of credibility one might otherwise have had.
@ele12957returns Must have one last comment so you don’t think I am running away. Regarding your eisegetic interpretations and conclusions about dead in sin. I refer you back to John Chapter 3 and again recommend that you keep reading it until you understand. Born Again, monergism. Read the words Jesus spoke! Again, Born Again, monergism. One more time, Born Again, monergism. Bye for now.
@ele12957returns You keep writing but I am off to other more valuable pursuits for now and will get back to your eisegesis and conceit later. May I make a suggestion? Try writing about the Word of God a little less and actually studying a lot more. Bye for now.
@ele12957returns Because you make faith a work when wrongly dividing the word of God. You're making concentric circles around your eisegetic & synergistic conceit. Only by the Holy Spirit of God is one able to discern the things of the Spirit of God. Why are you NOT discerning the things of the Spirit of God? Why are you still playing eisegetical hopscotch? Could it be that you are in bondage to that concentric circle which has your eyes off of the things of the Spirit of God? I think so.
@ele12957returns I think you assume too much about a book you have never read. We do know that they are blotted out of the Book of Life because they are not righteousness and we all know that "we have been made the righteousness of God in Him" and not by some imagined synergistic freewill decision made by a unregenerate dead in sin man who is clearly defined as incapable of discerning the things of the Spirit of God. Read John Chapter 3 and keep rereading it until you understand.
@ele12957returns Why do you assert there is a problem with Monergism and man having little or no faith? All men have little or no faith until they are Born Again. Saving faith is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God less any should boast (about their freewill for example).
@ele12957returns Why does "ALL" have different meanings? Why is often a quantifier of a subset and not describing entirety? Because of a little thing called CONTEXT. Sometimes a noun, sometimes an adjective, sometimes an adverb but ALWAYS IN CONTEXT TO THE PASSAGE. That is why I refer to you playing biblical hopscotch and for the sake of clarity, no I am not kidding you.
@ele12957returns Each time you suggest "synergism" and freewill of the SPIRITUALLY DEAD via your eisegesis shows your disobedience to God's word and subsequent mishandling the Holy Scriptures. Seeing that you like to play bible hopscotch, why don't you take a stab at Ezekiel 36:26-27?
@ele12957returns "but it was never made for man" If man is going to go there, believe me it was made for man too (or God would make a differnt location would he have not?). And man goes to hell because he FIRST sins against a Holy God. Unbelief is just one of many in a long line of sins that man commits and not the only. Now belief comes not by the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man (because man is in bondage to sin & his perceived freewill is bondage and death) but by THE WILL OF GOD.
@ele12957returns And seeing that you are playing bible hopscotch again, regarding your eisegesis on Romans 11:32, That Calvinist word (as you refer to it) “ALL” refers to Jews and Gentiles (all without differentiation, not all without exclusion). The sin and disobedience of both Jews and Gentiles is highlighted, to underscore God’s mercy in saving some among both Jews and Gentiles. So this is an example but not as you define it. It is a prime example of your eisegesis.
@ele12957returns (continued) Mercy is God's only begotten Son doing for sinful man what he wasn't able to do, bear the wrath of a Holy and Just God. Mercy is him stepping into His creation and becoming our Passover Lamb. Mercy is Him saving us to the uttermost and not just giving us some imagined "freewill chance to choose wisely and choose him" (knowing full well that we unregenerates would NEVER CHOOSE HIM. Mercy is Him knowing that we are in putridly DEAD IN SIN and still saving some.
@ele12957returns So you assert that I do not understand "mercy"? Mercy (eleos, compassion) is God deciding to save some for His honor and glory to show His mercy. He shows them compassion. Now there is a Hell and a Lake of Fire too and those who are cast into hell and the lake of fire are shown no salvific mercy or they would be saved and not cast into Hell and a Lake of Fire). Our God is not only a Mighty God, He is Almighty God and always accomplishes His will. Not so with you.
@ele12957returns I defined Heresy for you now I ask you to define Pharisee and describe how I fit into that definition. You're going to accuse me, back it up with facts. Otherwise you are an just accuser of the brethren doing what the Totally Depraved do naturally when they are in BONDAGE TO SIN (yet think they have freewill). You are certainly modeling the "T" in TULIP. You might want to change your picture. Maybe not. It serves as a sober and ironic illustration of your condition.
@ele12957returns And anticipating your typical responses, I believe that you mock biblical grace by bolstering man's freewill as having to do anything with our LORD God’s salvation.
@ele12957returns The fact that I am asking you any questions at all is for your benefit (that you may pause and comprehend for a moment) and for the benefit of others. Remember when God said, Adam, where art thou? Do you think He knew where Adam was? Same here. I know where you are doctrinally by your own comments and I am asking you questions to expose you just as our Lord God did with Adam.
@ele12957returns Just so you know this comment was meant as a response for you. Heresy - An opinion or doctrine at variance with the official or orthodox Christian position or a belief that rejects the orthodox tenets of Christianity (such as your error of synergism, monism, denial of God's attributes, and mockery of biblical grace).
Heresy - An opinion or doctrine at variance with the official or orthodox Christian position or a belief that rejects the orthodox tenets of Christianity (such as your error of synergism, monism, denial of God's attributes, and mockery of biblical grace).
@ele12957returns Dancing around truth? You're describing yourself. You don't even stay on a single passage for any length of time to exegite it. You hop around & toss context into the trash heap. You've every reason to be ashamed because you do not rightly divide the word of truth, yet you gloat and you express your conceit and then you top it off with little LOL's, Har's, ROFL's and Hahhahahahaha's adding insult to injury. Who needs to grow up? Who needs to sober up? Be honest for once.
@ele12957returns So are you saying I am not a heretic? Do you embrace the Doctrines of Grace and disdain the doctrines of Arminianism and Pelagianism? Are you telling me you embrace Monergism and despise Synergism. I do. What does that make me. When does one officially become a heretic in your opinion?
@ele12957returns Why don't you stay on topic and stop jumping around like you are making some valid argument. Make attack channels of me if you desire. See if I care. See if I even respond. The issue is what you believe about Jesus Christ our LORD, God and Savior, what He has decreed, and His Gospel not attack channels or your perception of reality.
@ele12957returns If you are helping people escape with your debates, all they are doing is following you down that wide path that leads to destruction. I wouldn't gloat about that. I am amazed how viscious you are in your darkness but that is what is defined as "Total Depravity." See you by your actions affirm the "T" in TULIP.
@ele12957returns Ele do you think I am a heretic? And by your own hermeneutics, what are you doing by engaging us? Speaking lies in hypocrisy? Just curious because YouTube is a large place and you find yourself coming back to this channel. Why is that?
@ele12957returns (continued) Now YouTube is not a church and we treat you as an unbeliever based on your own conversation, thus we are contending for the faith and our conversation with you, believe it or not, is actually meant more for the benefit of others who might be mislead by your heretical garbage. Understand?
@ele12957returns BTW, Titus 3:10-11 describes the last degree of church discipline (read 1 Cor 5). A divisive individual who refuses to repent and change after being confronted (see Matt. 18:15-20) shows himself to be distorted by sin; thus, he is self-condemned. The bible is clear about looking for the repentance of such, but it is as clear that refusal to receive rebuke finally shows that one is not in Christ thus is excluded from that Christian community.
@ele12957returns When have I followed you around to engage you. I am subscribed to 1689Baptist's channel so I come here all the time and guess who I see speaking lies in hypocrisy (the most recent being your interpretation of Titus 3:10-11). Seems to me you keep engaging Jeff and myself so it appears that you are disobeying your own interpretation of Titus 3:20-10. Now how do you explain that Mr. Accuser of the brethren?
@ele12957returns Wow Ele. When you are put on the spot you become even more civil. Take a closer look at that verse "speaking lies in hypocrisy" for it expose those who accuse others of the very thing they do (and there is no reason for me to follow up with a LOL, ROFL, or even a patented Ele "Har! for there is nothing funny about sin, sinners, unrepentant liars and eternal matters). When will you sober up?
@ele12957returns Ele says, " I don't have time to go back over stuff you haven't taken the time to read." I guess that is what you define as "helping people find faith in Christ is what is important"?
@ele12957returns Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what is important. Studying to shew thyself approved is important. Making disciples of men is important. Not accusing others is important. Not coming to false conclusions about how others may or may not preach the Gospel is important. Not uttering lies is important. Exposing false teachers like you is important.
@ele12957returns BTW, Ele, you ought to be the last person speaking of foreknowledge because within the last month you were trying to make the case that God did not know everything (and does not know everything). Now how does fit with your view of His foreknowledge? Don’t strain yourself trying to twist out an answer. So recently we know that Ele has denied God’s Sovereignty, Monergism (salvation by God's grace alone), His Foreknowledge & what else should we add to your heretical list?
@ele12957returns And when you said, "Only those whom God foreknew would accept Him." and I followed up with " NO! Only those who He saved would accept Him. You got the order backwards." that is not to say that God did not know who would be saved first. That is to say he decreed who would be saved first. Certainly he foreknew but not by looking down the corridors of time at some free will choice that man would make. That is the heresy of Monism and asserts that God struggles with saving us.
@ele12957returns Give glory to whom it is due! The LORD God, our Savior Jesus Christ. Stop thinking there is merit in man's freewill. By man's freewill, sin entered into the world. There is no glory in our imprision sin laden will. God will share His glory with NO MAN. All the glory is His alone. Author and Finisher of our faith. Soli Deo Gloria!
@ele12957returns "Only those whom God foreknew would accept Him." NO! Only those who He saved would accept Him. You got the order backwards. First born again by the Spirit of God and then able to spiritually discern and believe. God's gift of grace given to some resulting in faith and that not of ourselves. Eph 2:8-9. BORN AGAIN from the SPIRITUALLY DEAD, not by the will of man, nor by the will of the flesh BUT BY THE WILL OF GOD.
@ele12957returns I read about 6 months of "Your Comments" pal. You are an accuser of the brethren and deserve little more than a sharp rebuke. Reading 6 months of your comments is sickening by the way.
@ele12957returns God's predestination is based on his Sovereign Decree and not some bungling nutty professor definition of predestination as you define it.
@ele12957returns I don't think you took time to warm up and stretch well before going into your Arminian gymnastics because it appears that you have a serious Theological rupture.
@ele12957returns (continued) When the Word of God clearly teaches us that “and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring, (Rom 9:7-8) He is addressing individuals not nations or tribes and he is addressing God’s sovereignty, not man’s freewill.
@ele12957returns (continued) Jer 18 does not explain why men turn/repent of their evil. Furthermore, Jer 18 does not refute Romans 9 speaking tribes/nations vs. individuals as you assume. You shouldn’t t get your theology by doing a word search “Potter” and assuming a synonymous connection. Contextual understanding is given by God. Why do you despise that? (continued)
@ele12957returns Ele says, " I don't have time to go back over stuff you haven't taken the time to read." Now that’s really pious of you! You spend months on months on YouTube repeating your heresy like a scratched record and you dare accuse another of not reading Jer.18?. Yet you do not see? You do not hear? Jer 18 clearly speaks of God's sovereignty! "IF…a nation turns from it's evil" Why does ANYONE TURN from their evil? TURN...Repentance...2 Tim 2:25 (continued)
@ele12957returns "Malachi was written 557-525 B.C., thousands of years after the birth of Esau and Jacob, so this is not speaking of God hating Esau at birth."
How does Malachi commenting on PAST event imply that God was not talking about the man Esau? Have you been having a Bible study with Goofy Grady Rev. Eliot? LOL
Poor old Grady he seems a bit confused. No. You seem a bit confused! quoting Gordon H Clark who is burning in hell wishing he never made such self-righteous, grace-denying quotes!
@jacksmack77 Jack you have a lot to learn. When are you going to give me an explanation of the difference between "we still sin everyday", and "habitual sinning"? 1John 1:9-10 affirms we still sin, but 1John 3:3,6,9 (plus others) teaches we CANNOT habitually sin, your doctrine of you can live anyway you want is blown out of the water b/c !John 3:9 we CANNOT habitually sin,for GODS SEED REMAINS IN US, B/C HE IS BORN OF GOD. Your doctrine strips God of His POWER in regeneration.
@jacksmack77 You said, "Poor old Grady he seems a bit confused. No. You seem a bit confused! quoting Gordon H Clark who is burning in hell wishing he never made such self-righteous, grace-denying quotes!"
How do you know that Gordon H Clark is burning in hell? BY YOUR OWN TEACHING NOW Clark would DEFINATELY BE SAVED AND THUS NOT BURING IN HELL. Do you believe he lost his salvation?
Your videos reveal an opened mouth but closed eyes and ears. Why?
@jacksmack77 Wow Jack. I see that you did not like my commenting on your immature "Lordship Salvationist on his way to hell" video so you say, "You will be blocked. All Calvinists will be blocked." Is that how you contend for the faith?
Why do you misrepresent people? OK. I am blocked. I have not blocked you (should you come to your senses and need someone to speak with). WHO did you believe Jesus Christ was when you first believed? Did you turn to Him? Did you turn from something?
@jacksmack77 Hey, I just put up a video on the subject you are discussing on your home page. The video is called "Did Christ Pay For The Sins Of Those In Hell? Re: mgreer511002 & winlightministries" pass it on to Greg and brainouty since they have me blocked.
@ele12957returns (continued) I wondered why your hermeneutics is at odds with biblical doctrine & now see why by the clear teaching of 1 Timothy 6:3-4 "If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions..."
@ele12957returns And for the record, I never called Peter a liar. You said that I called Peter a liar but that, ironically is because YOU are speaking lies about me. If you took even a sliver of time to understand Romans 9:6-8 you would you still speak foolishly? I think I understand why you do the things you do and it can be explained in a few verses of scripture (continued)
@ele12957returns You come here spouting your ignorance about the Doctrines of Grace. It is not my job to refute your heresey even though I have time and time again. It is your job to make a cogent and exegetical case for your assertions which you ALWAYS FAIL TO DO. You embrace those doctrines & teachings that directly oppose the scripture, so much so that refering to you as a heretic is no stretch for a TRUE BELIEVER will not continuously war against God's Word for he/she has His Holy Spirit.
@ele12957returns Ele says, "no this is the first time you posted this stop being deceptive" which is UNTRUE. ANYONE CAN JUST CLICK ON "SEE ALL" Do a search on the passage I qouted & see who is lying. Furthermore, when refuted, this Ele guy just moves on to mock and make a mockery out of more scripture while utterling lies about the brethren. He likes to write "LOL" quite a bit as if there is something funny about dealing with holy life and death issues. You accuse for you must (no freewill).
@ele12957returns Now I am really interested how "Be Thou My Vision" mocks the gospel. Please enlighten me. You have yet to prove anything regarding your handling of the Doctrines of Grace. You issue accusations and expect others to take you at face value? You misquote scripture and expect us to not hold you accountable? Come on. You tell me to grow up. Who is the one that should grow up? There is a difference between mile stone & mill stone. Being called a NAZI is offensive & ungodly
@ele12957returns (continuation) Now in response to your foolishness, I rebutted your eisegesis with, Romans 9:6-8 "Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."
@ParticularBaptist Amen brother, I was thinking of the same verse. ...For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel... bless God He did give repentance to the REAL Israel. The REAL Israel IS and has ALWAYS been the elect inside of Israel, not just flesh and blood.
@1689Baptist Now I believe this is the 3rd or 4th time I've reposted this for ELE to read but he keeps rejecting it, saying that he has refuted me. He lies and I have wonder if he thinks that repeating his lies gives credibility to his eisegesis.
@ele12957returns I asked you to show me where those who God has granted repentance would not repent. You replied,
“Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to GIVE REPENTANCE TO ISRAEL, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31
Did they repent? No, they beat the apostles and forbade them to preach and teach in the name of Jesus. So God gave repentance and they didn't repent. Ur theology is wrong!”
@ele12957returns (CONT.) 4. "You are hanging a mile stone around the necks of little ones causing them to stumble with this lie" THE WORD IS MILL STONE...NOT MILE STONE." THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD, WHO IS IS, THE TRUTH HE HAS REVEALED, THE HIS GRACE HE HAS GIVEN IS NOT A FALSE THEOLOGY AS YOU ASSERT AND UNLESS YOU REPENT OF YOUR LIES AND ERROR, YOU ARE LIKELY TO DISCOVER THAT IN THE MOST UNPLEASING AND SHOCKING MANNER.
@ele12957returns (CONT.) 3. "You on the other hand have been given the truth, which you reject and continue to spread a theology that is false and deceives people and and it is you that will see the severity of God for ur rejection of the truth." YES WE;VE BEEN GIVEN THE TRUTH & WE RECEIVE IT GLADLY IN OUR HEARTS. IT'S TRUTH THAT YOU MOCK & ACCUSE AS FALSE. BECAUSE WE ARE SAVED WE'LL RECEIVE MERCY & GRACE & NOT WRATH.
@ele12957returns 1. "since Tulip is a false doctrine and isn't supported by scripture" IT'S NOT A FALSE DOCTRINE.
2. "Gods word tells us to expose lies and defend the truth, I have nothing at all to worry about." GOD'S WORD DOES TELL US TO EXPOSE LIES. WE ARE EXPOSING YOURS, AND TO DEFEND THE TRUTH, WE ARE DEFENDING THE TRUTH THAT YOU OPPOSE. YOU HAVE MUCH TO WORRY ABOUT FOR YOU MOCK THE VERY ATTRIBUTES AND WILL OF GOD.
@ele12957returns You do what you want to do, just remember you must answer to God one day, one part of me is sad for you but another part rejoices for that day when God vindicates His saints from people like you. Pro 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
I am leaving this comment from you so that others may see your nonsense.
@ele12957returns Sir, Mormons and JW's are false but I would not put that image on them, I don't even like to see that sign over Ford or Chevy. It is not becoming to a Christian, especially one that claims the high stature that Ed Eliot claims.
BTW, Calvinism has never been refuted not by you nor any other, the only refutation you have is lying, twisting, and misrepresenting it.
Why do you think I have been deleting your comments? I am tired of going in circles with you.
Amen to your prayer for the children, brother. Scary that he's lookin for where you live. That's serious business. Why would he want to know that? Sounds ominous if you ask me ... a malicious spirit is oppressing him, perhaps. Lift up prayer for jacksmack77 as well, brother.
Fatalistic election ... No! it's unbiblical. Revelation 22:17. John 4:10. Deuteronomy 30:19. John 3:36. John 5:40. Revelation 21:6. Acts 14:15-17. Revelation 3:20. Acts 16:29-31. Hebrews 4:2. 2 Peter 3:9. Ezekiel 33:11. Mark 16:15. Acts 17:5. They chose to believe not. Hebrews 2:3. if "we" neglect so great salvation.
@jacksmack77 What is fatalistic election? Why does one neglect (be careless of, make light of, be negligent, not regard so great salvation? Because 1 Corinthians 2:14 and 1 Corinthians 1:18 but are you concluding that Hebrews 2:3 teaches free will? It only asks how one can expect to escape God's wrath if they neglect that salvation but does not answer why they neglect that salvation. Right? Who are the Elect, Chosen, Children of the promise Jack? What about those not of Israel, O.T.?
1689baptist. John 6:66-69. We believe and art sure that thou art the Christ. Believers. "Saved" John 20:9. They knew not the scriptures that he must rise again from the dead. Saved people that didn't believe or even know about the crucifixion. I do preach the cross and so did Zane! You claim we are damaging souls but your god of Calvinism (I thought you believed) does that as well by not electing them. What hypocrisy.
@jacksmack77 What do you think of a God whose Elect, Chosen, Children of the Promise were only Israel until the Gospel was brought to the gentiles? Was God unjust in handing out judgment to those outside of Israel?
@jacksmack77 No if you damage a soul it is wicked, God not electing is someone is good, pure, holy, and glorifying to Himself. Let me give an illustration, if I murder someone it is wicked, but God takes every life He gives in His time, and In His way, and God does not murder when He does so. If I take something that is not mine it is stealing God take what He wants and it is good. Job 1:21...the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
There is no hypocrisy, God is not under the laws He imposes on us. God does what He wants when He wants, to whom He wants, when He wants, and it is always good b/c He has done it, and has declared it good. Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
Do you think Adam could have looked at something God made and said this is not good? And if he did would it have made the thing good or not after God had declared it good?
@jacksmack77 These people believed what light they had revealed to them at that time, this is true all through the Bible, all were saved by believing the revealed knowledge at their particular time. Also these people in John 6:66-69 had the person of Christ standing in front of them to believe on. We live in an age when the revelation is complete, we are required to believe more than they. 1Cor.15:1-4 gives us a quick summery of what we are to believe to be saved
@ele12957returns Hey Ratty! Pull your pants up and stop peeing in public. There are public ordinances you know. If your mom saw you peeing on the her TULIPS (she loves them you know), she'd spank your bottoms!
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY The point is your comment of 98% of American's know who Jesus Christ is and why He is important is NOT ACCURATE. It is just a number you pulled out of thin air to lend credibility to your comment. I know for a fact the number is much, much lower. We can both compare notes if we go out and ask people if they know who He is. Then we can compare our findings with your 98%
@AttackChannel I was not giving a concrete estimation, nor did I say anything about why he was important. I believe you are adding that to my statement.
However the challenge is encouraging, just a bit misaligned in the reasoning.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I think knowing why He is important is integral to understanding the Gospel, don't you? After all you did say they know who He is and why he came. If that is true, they know the Gospel. Yes? So I am not adding to your words. Yes going out to speak to people is encouraging but not misalligned in reasoning when you realize that EVERY ecounter is a chance to present the Gospel.
@AttackChannel First you changed my words.. Why he came is not the same thing as why he is important. I can see how one can interpret them together, but they do actually mean different things. I can almost guarantee that most people know why Jesus came. An easy test is to ask the people where you work. The problem is the presentation of the gospel is missing the Lordship of Christ
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Why he came is pretty important but not the only reason why he is important. Who he is, is why He is important and I do not assume that 98% of Americans know about His Deity or death on the cross for our sins much less, the purpose of His incarnation, sinless life, suffering God's wrath and death on the cross, as the Passover Lamb, the perfect sacrifice, buried, risen for our justification through his imputed righteousness.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY. I gave much more information to these kids. 1689Catholic only posted what he wanted everyone to think I presented so that he could satirize my evangelistic approach. Same with the signs; I have signs that give other facts. He is just a flibbertigibbet who likes to rabble-rouse!
@jacksmack77 The point is you believe that knowledge of the CROSS is NOT necessary to salvation. I have heard you say it. It does not matter how much info you gave people your foundation is faulty.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Besides the Apostles carried signs and posted signs on telephone poles whereever they went. Of course signs were made out of clay tablets and only manly men could carry signs so...NO ONE CARRIED SIGNS. Meow!
@jacksmack77 I personally do not agree with the doctrinal position of Zane Hodges. Believing is more then just a mental accent to the truth. However, keep up the good work of posting signs. No one can fit an entire gospel presentation on a sign.. or at least a small one that people would glance at.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I have no problem with signs I even say in this video that the only way they will work is if the person has already heard the Gospel and God uses the sign to jog their memory. I have a problem with thinking you are posting the Gospel and ALL who read it will be saved if they say yes, even if all they know about Jesus is what is on that sign. That is faulty.
@1689Baptist We have no knowledge of who is saved, and who is not. There should be fruit, and that is evidence of salvation. However, trees can bear fruit for a season, and never again..
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Hey, I never read that parable! Thanks! No wait....I think I might have read that parable....Yes....I am sure of it! Yes I have read that parable. Now what?
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY What does the parable say? Well it begins, "Then he spake many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow...." That's from the Geneva bible anyway.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I was just thinking of the same parable, but remember the only ground that represented the saved was the 4th one. the first 3 were unsaved.
@AttackChannel Can you please tell me the meaning of this comment of yours?
"Hey Ratty! Pull your pants up and stop peeing in public. There are public ordinances you know. If your mom saw you peeing on the her TULIPS (she loves them you know), she'd spank your bottoms!"
I agree a full gospel presentation is more then just "believe in Jesus". However when the jailer was converted in acts did Paul give him the full gospel presentation? Paul told him to believe in the Lord Jesus, and he would be saved. This person that you are responding to is reaching out to people, more then many of us are doing today. How many people have you reached out to lately? My numbers have been dwindling.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY You said "Paul told him to believe in the Lord Jesus, and he would be saved" This is wrong, we don't know how much info this jailer had before he asked, is it not odd that he knew who to ask, had he heard then preach or maybe sing in the night? We do know that Paul went to his home and preach to them there. Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
So much more went on than Paul just telling him to believe.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Reaching out to people means nothing if it is done in error, God is in no way pleased, God doesn't give us an A for effort. God is not looking down and say "well he is doing more damage than good but Oh, look at how he just wants to reach out to people. The Mormons and JW's also just want to reach out to people.
I am doing what God wants me to do, I reach out as He opens doors.
@1689Baptist So if you go out, and preach to the best of your knowledge, and then find out there is more to add to what you have been preaching, you are in no way blessed by God? That is ludicrous, none of us have full knowledge of the truth. Gods truth is eternal we will never know everything.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY There is always more for us to learn that is true, But God WILL NOT call a man to go preach an inadequate Gospel void of saving propositions, and then bless it. God will call the man when he has sufficient understanding to present the Gospel.
@1689Baptist The fact is the jailer asked what must I do to be saved. Paul and Silas said believe in the Lord. I am sure more was said after. The fact is 98% of Americans know who Jesus is, and know Jesus died on the cross to save the ungodly. The person that you are debating is out there trying, which is more then many are doing.
I believe in lordship salvation, so my gospel presentation is more then a mental accent to the truth. There is no reason for me to condemn someone for posting a verse
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY The point is he is on faulty foundation, b/c he follows Zane Hodges, Zane taught that the ONLY knowledge a person needed is that sign the knowledge of the cross is unnecessary to salvation. I realize most know something of Christianity in the US, but I doubt if most know enough saving propositions to add to that sign to be saved, therefore that sign is inadequate. Zane taught that sign would be enough to some remote tribe in Africa.
@1689Baptist A remote tribe in Africa is stretching it, could you reference Zane for me in that context? It isn't the amount of knowledge that you have that saves you. It is the fact that you put what knowledge you have into practice. It is the fact of one truly believing that Jesus died for the ungodly, that the persons casts his life into the hands of Christ, that God may work in that person life, a new life for the glory and honor of the sovereign creator of the universe.
@1689Baptist Most people in Africa have no idea who Jesus is. But most people in the US do, so the signs are appropriate. If they don't then maybe it will give a cause for them to ask.
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Wow Devine, you said "It isn't the amount of knowledge that you have that saves you. It is the fact that you put what knowledge you have into practice" That sounds like works or mental ascent. It doesn't sound like being born again or saved at all. Meow!!!! Pffffttt!
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I have a suggestion. How about you go out for 8 hours to a Walmart parking lot or wherever you know you can bump into a lot of people. You take a survey and ask them if they know who Jesus Christ is and why He is important. I will do the same and we can compare statistics. Gain?
@AttackChannel Not sure if I can pull 8 hours, I have a family to attend to. However that is an excellent encouragement, and will have to take you up on it. What are you hoping to prove?
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY You say, "The fact is 98% of Americans know who Jesus is, and know Jesus died on the cross to save the ungodly." Is this a fact? Where did you get the 98% of Americans statistic. Have you been out asking Americans what they know about Jesus? If you had you would never say that "98% of Americans know who Jesus is, and know Jesus died on the cross to save the ungodly." Meow! Pfffft!
@trident343 Please tell me where I make that claim. Do you all have preconceived ideas in your mind where you come up with this stuff?
WCOF
CHAPTER XVII.
Of The Perseverance of the Saints.
III. Nevertheless they may, through the temptations of Satan and of the world, the prevalancy of corruption remaining in them, and the neglect of the means of their perseverance, fall into grievous sins; ad for a time continue therein: whereby they incur God's displeasure,
and grieve his Holy Spirit; come to be deprived of some measure of their graces and comforts; have their hearts hardened, and their consciences wounded; hurt and prevalancy others, and bring temporal judgments upon themselves.
@ele12957returns Ele, " The fact you haven't been able to rebut my challenges to you is more than enough proof" IS A LIE. WHAT DO WE CALL ONE WHO LIES. A LIAR. You keep telling yourself that you are fighting the good fight. You're deceived and as I told you before, your Christianity is only as valid as it is biblical. That makes your situation very grave Ele. If you call that blessing, then you are blessed.
@1689Baptist See how Ele likes to change direction and engage in multiple attacks instead of dealing with the facts. I even provide when I responded to him and he will not hear and will not see. Incredible. So he thinks he will get more mileage attacking you. Predictable.
@ele12957returns You said, "Jeff, I never claimed to be Jesus but when you believe what Christ taught and live as He did than being called a devil and lied about is what those that hate Christ will do."
It's also what a Christian will do to expose an unrepntant devil.
@ele12957returns - Ele, scroll down the comments section and you will find that I rebutted your foolishness 15 hours ago, and again, 3 days ago. Now do you really want to continue to lie or will you repent?
@ele12957returns Ele before continuiong to posture your ignorance as truth, you might want to check the comments to see if I have answered for the only person you are deceiving is yourself. How many false accusations can you make in one comment section? Are you trying to break a record or do you already hold it?
@ele12957returns LOL you are not Jesus, although it would not surprise me to hear you claim to walk on water. ROFL. Calling you a devil does not compare to the Pharisees calling Jesus a devil.
@ele12957returns Ele, you are not holding me accountable. You are accountable before God for your heresy, your ungodly actions and your blasphemous anti-Christ theology. You are self-deceived, conceited and the bible teaches that there is more hope for a fool than for you. If you call that a blessing then you are truely blessed.
@ele12957returns Ele, you say "lets be honest" Well, Ele, I am being honest. Are you? You posted scripture that fails to make your claim valid. You could have accomplished the same thing by quoting from a Superman Comic Book based on your overt eisegesis. I will not repeat myself to someone who does not thoughtfully read (or is just pretending not to have read) my response. And your revisiting the death of my mother back on Feb 11th reveals you as the DEVIL YOU ARE. You are accountable!
@ele12957returns You say, "you actually have no case! You ask questions but won't answer them." I have answered your reply. ARE YOU LISTENING? OR JUST PLAYING YOUR USUAL GAME. You are right anyone taking time to read the comments thoughtfully will see that you are lying. By the way, what is REALLY INSULTING is not my handling of you but YOUR THEOLOGY IS INSULTING to anyone who knows the truth. You will have to give an answer Ele so take heed.
@jacksmack77 Jack of course I sin, you are missing the point. There is a difference between I sin everyday and habitual sinning. 1John is addressing habitual sinners not sinning everyday, even the most blessed of saints still sin everyday but they are not habitual sinners. The difference is between a regenerated heart that hate sin and want to do what is pleasing to God (Paul in Rom.7) and the one that loves his sin and revels in it (unregenerate).
Clark did NOT teach that habitual sinners go some days without sinning.
Clark taught that the unconverted sin every day. Clark also taught that all the acts of the converted are tainted with sin in this life. You see, in this life, the converted sin every day (Original Sin / Total Depravity). Your initial comment, the one I responded to, is NOT what Clark taught. Clark was a Calvinist.
@RedBeetle You said, "Clark did NOT teach that habitual sinners go some days without sinning" WHERE did I say that? I who am not a habitual sinner still sin everyday. Why would you think I think a habitual sinner can go a day without sinning? The unregenerate cannot even plow a field to feed their family without sinning. Are you really going to jump to this conclusion over a missed comma?
Excellent video for those to whom God's word is revealed. Needless to say, this is not all that CALL themselves "Christian".

BludBaut 9 months ago
I stopped the video to so that I could see Gordon Clark's name because I do not know of him, but I do question why you would quote such nonsense. It all sounds so "pious" but any honest man knows better.
Remember, "those who continue in sin rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may be fearful of sinning"? If Clark was right, that "no can possibly want to continue sinning," then Paul's words would have been, "Why do you allow pagans to pretend they are Believers?"
Poor quote choice.

I then wrote my remarks.

BTW- "The young ones" Jesus was referring was those that were young or new believers. It isn't wise assailing the new found belief of those that just found Jesus Christ.
A word to the wise is sufficient.
FORMETOKNOWONLY 9 months ago
@FORMETOKNOWONLY The question is have they really found Jesus Christ? That is what concerns me the most.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist I don't think it should concern you. "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me." We ALL start in darkness. The amount of light we first see varies GREATLY according to the grace given us. Remember, "don't think you chose me..." and "no man can come to me except the father ... draw him." Our job is to shine and love. To make the things of God appealing. Many start with such a low level of grace, no one can see it, but as it's fed and watered, God works in them to will and to do
BludBaut 9 months ago
Sigh...just disgusting how Baptist 1689 stalks individuals who believe in Eternal Security on YT. That' s why I have him blocked.
FORMETOKNOWONLY 9 months ago

@BludBaut I dont believe you meant to reply to me on this. I think we are on the same page.

ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns You keep writing but I am off to other more valuable pursuits for now and will get back to your eisegesis and conceit later. May I make a suggestion? Try writing about the Word of God a little less and actually studying a lot more. Bye for now.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Because you make faith a work when wrongly dividing the word of God. You're making concentric circles around your eisegetic & synergistic conceit. Only by the Holy Spirit of God is one able to discern the things of the Spirit of God. Why are you NOT discerning the things of the Spirit of God? Why are you still playing eisegetical hopscotch? Could it be that you are in bondage to that concentric circle which has your eyes off of the things of the Spirit of God? I think so.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns I think you assume too much about a book you have never read. We do know that they are blotted out of the Book of Life because they are not righteousness and we all know that "we have been made the righteousness of God in Him" and not by some imagined synergistic freewill decision made by a unregenerate dead in sin man who is clearly defined as incapable of discerning the things of the Spirit of God. Read John Chapter 3 and keep rereading it until you understand.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Why do you assert there is a problem with Monergism and man having little or no faith? All men have little or no faith until they are Born Again. Saving faith is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God less any should boast (about their freewill for example).
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns No Jesus did not forget to add on people too. Jesus clearly taught us in Revelation 20:15
"And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Why does "ALL" have different meanings? Why is often a quantifier of a subset and not describing entirety? Because of a little thing called CONTEXT. Sometimes a noun, sometimes an adjective, sometimes an adverb but ALWAYS IN CONTEXT TO THE PASSAGE. That is why I refer to you playing biblical hopscotch and for the sake of clarity, no I am not kidding you.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Each time you suggest "synergism" and freewill of the SPIRITUALLY DEAD via your eisegesis shows your disobedience to God's word and subsequent mishandling the Holy Scriptures. Seeing that you like to play bible hopscotch, why don't you take a stab at Ezekiel 36:26-27?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns "but it was never made for man" If man is going to go there, believe me it was made for man too (or God would make a differnt location would he have not?). And man goes to hell because he FIRST sins against a Holy God. Unbelief is just one of many in a long line of sins that man commits and not the only. Now belief comes not by the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man (because man is in bondage to sin & his perceived freewill is bondage and death) but by THE WILL OF GOD.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns And seeing that you are playing bible hopscotch again, regarding your eisegesis on Romans 11:32, That Calvinist word (as you refer to it) “ALL” refers to Jews and Gentiles (all without differentiation, not all without exclusion). The sin and disobedience of both Jews and Gentiles is highlighted, to underscore God’s mercy in saving some among both Jews and Gentiles. So this is an example but not as you define it. It is a prime example of your eisegesis.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns (continued) Mercy is God's only begotten Son doing for sinful man what he wasn't able to do, bear the wrath of a Holy and Just God. Mercy is him stepping into His creation and becoming our Passover Lamb. Mercy is Him saving us to the uttermost and not just giving us some imagined "freewill chance to choose wisely and choose him" (knowing full well that we unregenerates would NEVER CHOOSE HIM. Mercy is Him knowing that we are in putridly DEAD IN SIN and still saving some.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns So you assert that I do not understand "mercy"? Mercy (eleos, compassion) is God deciding to save some for His honor and glory to show His mercy. He shows them compassion. Now there is a Hell and a Lake of Fire too and those who are cast into hell and the lake of fire are shown no salvific mercy or they would be saved and not cast into Hell and a Lake of Fire). Our God is not only a Mighty God, He is Almighty God and always accomplishes His will. Not so with you.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns I defined Heresy for you now I ask you to define Pharisee and describe how I fit into that definition. You're going to accuse me, back it up with facts. Otherwise you are an just accuser of the brethren doing what the Totally Depraved do naturally when they are in BONDAGE TO SIN (yet think they have freewill). You are certainly modeling the "T" in TULIP. You might want to change your picture. Maybe not. It serves as a sober and ironic illustration of your condition.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns And anticipating your typical responses, I believe that you mock biblical grace by bolstering man's freewill as having to do anything with our LORD God’s salvation.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns The fact that I am asking you any questions at all is for your benefit (that you may pause and comprehend for a moment) and for the benefit of others. Remember when God said, Adam, where art thou? Do you think He knew where Adam was? Same here. I know where you are doctrinally by your own comments and I am asking you questions to expose you just as our Lord God did with Adam.

ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns So are you saying I am not a heretic? Do you embrace the Doctrines of Grace and disdain the doctrines of Arminianism and Pelagianism? Are you telling me you embrace Monergism and despise Synergism. I do. What does that make me. When does one officially become a heretic in your opinion?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Why don't you stay on topic and stop jumping around like you are making some valid argument. Make attack channels of me if you desire. See if I care. See if I even respond. The issue is what you believe about Jesus Christ our LORD, God and Savior, what He has decreed, and His Gospel not attack channels or your perception of reality.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns If you are helping people escape with your debates, all they are doing is following you down that wide path that leads to destruction. I wouldn't gloat about that. I am amazed how viscious you are in your darkness but that is what is defined as "Total Depravity." See you by your actions affirm the "T" in TULIP.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Ele do you think I am a heretic? And by your own hermeneutics, what are you doing by engaging us? Speaking lies in hypocrisy? Just curious because YouTube is a large place and you find yourself coming back to this channel. Why is that?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns "You still engage me and rebuke me. Hahhahahahaha!"
Hahhahahahaha? Do you find something funny about eternal matters? Really Ele? Do you?

@ele12957returns I just did explain Titus 3:10-11. Please try typing a little slower and reading more. K?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns (continued) Now YouTube is not a church and we treat you as an unbeliever based on your own conversation, thus we are contending for the faith and our conversation with you, believe it or not, is actually meant more for the benefit of others who might be mislead by your heretical garbage. Understand?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns BTW, Titus 3:10-11 describes the last degree of church discipline (read 1 Cor 5). A divisive individual who refuses to repent and change after being confronted (see Matt. 18:15-20) shows himself to be distorted by sin; thus, he is self-condemned. The bible is clear about looking for the repentance of such, but it is as clear that refusal to receive rebuke finally shows that one is not in Christ thus is excluded from that Christian community.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns When have I followed you around to engage you. I am subscribed to 1689Baptist's channel so I come here all the time and guess who I see speaking lies in hypocrisy (the most recent being your interpretation of Titus 3:10-11). Seems to me you keep engaging Jeff and myself so it appears that you are disobeying your own interpretation of Titus 3:20-10. Now how do you explain that Mr. Accuser of the brethren?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Wow Ele. When you are put on the spot you become even more civil. Take a closer look at that verse "speaking lies in hypocrisy" for it expose those who accuse others of the very thing they do (and there is no reason for me to follow up with a LOL, ROFL, or even a patented Ele "Har! for there is nothing funny about sin, sinners, unrepentant liars and eternal matters). When will you sober up?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns It is because I am listening to what you are saying that I find myself exposing you and the heresies you are promoting.

@ele12957returns Ele says, " I don't have time to go back over stuff you haven't taken the time to read." I guess that is what you define as "helping people find faith in Christ is what is important"?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what is important. Studying to shew thyself approved is important. Making disciples of men is important. Not accusing others is important. Not coming to false conclusions about how others may or may not preach the Gospel is important. Not uttering lies is important. Exposing false teachers like you is important.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns BTW, Ele, you ought to be the last person speaking of foreknowledge because within the last month you were trying to make the case that God did not know everything (and does not know everything). Now how does fit with your view of His foreknowledge? Don’t strain yourself trying to twist out an answer. So recently we know that Ele has denied God’s Sovereignty, Monergism (salvation by God's grace alone), His Foreknowledge & what else should we add to your heretical list?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns And when you said, "Only those whom God foreknew would accept Him." and I followed up with " NO! Only those who He saved would accept Him. You got the order backwards." that is not to say that God did not know who would be saved first. That is to say he decreed who would be saved first. Certainly he foreknew but not by looking down the corridors of time at some free will choice that man would make. That is the heresy of Monism and asserts that God struggles with saving us.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Give glory to whom it is due! The LORD God, our Savior Jesus Christ. Stop thinking there is merit in man's freewill. By man's freewill, sin entered into the world. There is no glory in our imprision sin laden will. God will share His glory with NO MAN. All the glory is His alone. Author and Finisher of our faith. Soli Deo Gloria!
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns "Only those whom God foreknew would accept Him." NO! Only those who He saved would accept Him. You got the order backwards. First born again by the Spirit of God and then able to spiritually discern and believe. God's gift of grace given to some resulting in faith and that not of ourselves. Eph 2:8-9. BORN AGAIN from the SPIRITUALLY DEAD, not by the will of man, nor by the will of the flesh BUT BY THE WILL OF GOD.

ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns (continued) When the Word of God clearly teaches us that “and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring, (Rom 9:7-8) He is addressing individuals not nations or tribes and he is addressing God’s sovereignty, not man’s freewill.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns (continued) Jer 18 does not explain why men turn/repent of their evil. Furthermore, Jer 18 does not refute Romans 9 speaking tribes/nations vs. individuals as you assume. You shouldn’t t get your theology by doing a word search “Potter” and assuming a synonymous connection. Contextual understanding is given by God. Why do you despise that? (continued)
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Ele says, " I don't have time to go back over stuff you haven't taken the time to read." Now that’s really pious of you! You spend months on months on YouTube repeating your heresy like a scratched record and you dare accuse another of not reading Jer.18?. Yet you do not see? You do not hear? Jer 18 clearly speaks of God's sovereignty! "IF…a nation turns from it's evil" Why does ANYONE TURN from their evil? TURN...Repentance...2 Tim 2:25 (continued)

@ele12957returns To be accurate, this is the 3rd time I have posted the passage for you to review. Why do you not see?
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns You come here spouting your ignorance about the Doctrines of Grace. It is not my job to refute your heresey even though I have time and time again. It is your job to make a cogent and exegetical case for your assertions which you ALWAYS FAIL TO DO. You embrace those doctrines & teachings that directly oppose the scripture, so much so that refering to you as a heretic is no stretch for a TRUE BELIEVER will not continuously war against God's Word for he/she has His Holy Spirit.
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns Ele says, "no this is the first time you posted this stop being deceptive" which is UNTRUE. ANYONE CAN JUST CLICK ON "SEE ALL" Do a search on the passage I qouted & see who is lying. Furthermore, when refuted, this Ele guy just moves on to mock and make a mockery out of more scripture while utterling lies about the brethren. He likes to write "LOL" quite a bit as if there is something funny about dealing with holy life and death issues. You accuse for you must (no freewill).
ParticularBaptist 9 months ago

ParticularBaptist 9 months ago
@ele12957returns I asked you to show me where those who God has granted repentance would not repent. You replied,
“Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to GIVE REPENTANCE TO ISRAEL, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31
Did they repent? No, they beat the apostles and forbade them to preach and teach in the name of Jesus. So God gave repentance and they didn't repent. Ur theology is wrong!”

AttackChannel 9 months ago

1689Baptist 9 months ago
@jacksmack77 These people believed what light they had revealed to them at that time, this is true all through the Bible, all were saved by believing the revealed knowledge at their particular time. Also these people in John 6:66-69 had the person of Christ standing in front of them to believe on. We live in an age when the revelation is complete, we are required to believe more than they. 1Cor.15:1-4 gives us a quick summery of what we are to believe to be saved

@AttackChannel What is the point of this comment?
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY The point is your comment of 98% of American's know who Jesus Christ is and why He is important is NOT ACCURATE. It is just a number you pulled out of thin air to lend credibility to your comment. I know for a fact the number is much, much lower. We can both compare notes if we go out and ask people if they know who He is. Then we can compare our findings with your 98%
AttackChannel 9 months ago
@AttackChannel I was not giving a concrete estimation, nor did I say anything about why he was important. I believe you are adding that to my statement.
However the challenge is encouraging, just a bit misaligned in the reasoning.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I think knowing why He is important is integral to understanding the Gospel, don't you? After all you did say they know who He is and why he came. If that is true, they know the Gospel. Yes? So I am not adding to your words. Yes going out to speak to people is encouraging but not misalligned in reasoning when you realize that EVERY ecounter is a chance to present the Gospel.
AttackChannel 9 months ago
@AttackChannel First you changed my words.. Why he came is not the same thing as why he is important. I can see how one can interpret them together, but they do actually mean different things. I can almost guarantee that most people know why Jesus came. An easy test is to ask the people where you work. The problem is the presentation of the gospel is missing the Lordship of Christ
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Why he came is pretty important but not the only reason why he is important. Who he is, is why He is important and I do not assume that 98% of Americans know about His Deity or death on the cross for our sins much less, the purpose of His incarnation, sinless life, suffering God's wrath and death on the cross, as the Passover Lamb, the perfect sacrifice, buried, risen for our justification through his imputed righteousness.
AttackChannel 9 months ago
@AttackChannel The misalignment in reasoning is not in regard to witnessing. I encourage you to read my words once again.

@jacksmack77 I personally do not agree with the doctrinal position of Zane Hodges. Believing is more then just a mental accent to the truth. However, keep up the good work of posting signs. No one can fit an entire gospel presentation on a sign.. or at least a small one that people would glance at.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY I have no problem with signs I even say in this video that the only way they will work is if the person has already heard the Gospel and God uses the sign to jog their memory.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY You said "Paul told him to believe in the Lord Jesus, and he would be saved" This is wrong, we don't know how much info this jailer had before he asked, is it not odd that he knew who to ask, had he heard then preach or maybe sing in the night? We do know that Paul went to his home and preach to them there. Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
So much more went on than Paul just telling him to believe.

1689Baptist 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Reaching out to people means nothing if it is done in error, God is in no way pleased, God doesn't give us an A for effort. God is not looking down and say "well he is doing more damage than good but Oh, look at how he just wants to reach out to people. The Mormons and JW's also just want to reach out to people.
I am doing what God wants me to do, I reach out as He opens doors.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist So if you go out, and preach to the best of your knowledge, and then find out there is more to add to what you have been preaching, you are in no way blessed by God? That is ludicrous, none of us have full knowledge of the truth. Gods truth is eternal we will never know everything.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY There is always more for us to learn that is true, But God WILL NOT call a man to go preach an inadequate Gospel void of saving propositions, and then bless it. God will call the man when he has sufficient understanding to present the Gospel.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist The fact is the jailer asked what must I do to be saved. Paul and Silas said believe in the Lord. I am sure more was said after. The fact is 98% of Americans know who Jesus is, and know Jesus died on the cross to save the ungodly. The person that you are debating is out there trying, which is more then many are doing.
I believe in lordship salvation, so my gospel presentation is more then a mental accent to the truth. There is no reason for me to condemn someone for posting a verse
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY The point is he is on faulty foundation, b/c he follows Zane Hodges, Zane taught that the ONLY knowledge a person needed is that sign the knowledge of the cross is unnecessary to salvation. I realize most know something of Christianity in the US, but I doubt if most know enough saving propositions to add to that sign to be saved, therefore that sign is inadequate. Zane taught that sign would be enough to some remote tribe in Africa.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist A remote tribe in Africa is stretching it, could you reference Zane for me in that context? It isn't the amount of knowledge that you have that saves you. It is the fact that you put what knowledge you have into practice. It is the fact of one truly believing that Jesus died for the ungodly, that the persons casts his life into the hands of Christ, that God may work in that person life, a new life for the glory and honor of the sovereign creator of the universe.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Ask Jack for it he is the one that made the video defending ZANE.
How can one believe that Christ Died unless they are told He did? They must have that knowledge to believe it.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist Most people in Africa have no idea who Jesus is. But most people in the US do, so the signs are appropriate. If they don't then maybe it will give a cause for them to ask.
DIVINESOTERIOLOGY 9 months ago
@DIVINESOTERIOLOGY Wow Devine, you said "It isn't the amount of knowledge that you have that saves you. It is the fact that you put what knowledge you have into practice" That sounds like works or mental ascent. It doesn't sound like being born again or saved at all. Meow!!!! Pffffttt!

1689baptist. Are you claiming you don't sin (work iniquity)? Are you perfect?
jacksmack77 9 months ago
@jacksmack77 Jack of course I sin, you are missing the point. There is a difference between I sin everyday and habitual sinning. 1John is addressing habitual sinners not sinning everyday, even the most blessed of saints still sin everyday but they are not habitual sinners. The difference is between a regenerated heart that hate sin and want to do what is pleasing to God (Paul in Rom.7) and the one that loves his sin and revels in it (unregenerate).
Why is it you don't revel in sin?
1689Baptist 9 months ago

I doubt 1 John is addressing that. Did you forget to place a comma after the word 'sinners'?

@RedBeetle I have the book 1John by Clark, and he did indeed address Habitual sinning, in contrast to the truth we still sin.
1689Baptist 9 months ago
@1689Baptist,
Clark did NOT teach that habitual sinners go some days without sinning.
Read Clark again--or learn basic grammar.
RedBeetle 9 months ago
@RedBeetle You said, "Clark did NOT teach that habitual sinners go some days without sinning" WHERE did I say that? I who am not a habitual sinner still sin everyday. Why would you think I think a habitual sinner can go a day without sinning? The unregenerate cannot even plow a field to feed their family without sinning. Are you really going to jump to this conclusion over a missed comma?
