people in LA are too busy snorting coke and having gay sex to realize talent. It's all about first impressions. If this guy fixed his hair and beard a bit and, BY ALL MEANS, did not wear a baggy white t-shirt (uniform of a crack head), people would have probably approached him more. People are shallow assholes like that.
Downtown LA is absolute shit area for this guys. Despite the recent "renaissance" of downtown, it still is a sub-par downtown venue compared to most other major city downtowns.
Foot traffic is weak, except when the office drones come out and head home.
The hipsters act like they are too jaded to care about street performers.and the out of town folks are too shy. This guy would be lucky to make 5 dollars in change.
@TheJaShippo I agree with your statement, and I do love the fact that music has such a positive impact on people; music is the voice of the brain. But this musician isn't very good. But he should continue to play and enjoy his instrument!
@verycoolchicka Buddy, please. I have opened for Branford Marsalis, done a recording session with Bucky Pizzarelli, opened for 13 time Grammy award winner Al Jerreau twice, opened for Randy Brecker, plus worked with countless Canadian Jazz award winners. In 2010 I was ranked 2nd in canada on saxophone for my age. Want proof of my talent? Watch my video. Don't come at me like you know shit
