And like most old timers who think their era was the greatest, you forget the fact that life evolves, and boxing is no exception. Boxing has evolved since the 60s and 70s, and it is only natural for the next generation to be better than the previous one. People with big egos want their own generation to always be best, but life doesnt work that way.

Well Ali was a great man, great mind, and great fighter, no doubt. But he was way too cocky and arrogant for his own good. God had to teach him a lesson and take away that quick tongue, and smooth body movement, thats why he got Parkinsons, it was a harsh lesson of humility for him. And as for Tyson vs Ali, when they both appeared on Arsenio Hall together, Ali said that he was scared of Tyson and that Tyson wouldve beat him because as quick as he was, one solid punch from Tyson wouldve ended it.

Ali fought Frazier, Foreman, Lyle, Shavers, Liston and several others who imo hit every bit as hard as Tyson AND had far more impressive lists of guys they knocked out, yet ONE SHOT from this comparative puppy would knock Ali out? Are you crazy? They say the last thing you lose is your punch. You might argue Tyson was in decline when he fought the best fighters in his career. Yet he rattled off quite a few big ones on Holyfield and didn't blow him away.

@Protected1 ali found angles and did have power when needed but jabbed and confused with speed .. tyson simply couldnt go over 8 rounds .. ali would take him over that distance in his prime .. tyson never got hit that much , ali wouldve landed so many confusing punches.. no one will ever lnow but i have ali and u have tyson ... both great !!

Ali was a bit of dick towards Joe Frazier, he had a total lack of respect for him. Joe Frazier is possibly one of the nicest and greatest boxers of all time. I don't believe Ali has apologised yet about the way he was towards Joe... I still like Ali, but the way he was with Joe Frazier was extremely questionable.

@benmols Frazier was a dick towards Ali as well as he continually referred to Ali as Clay even before Ali called him the gorilla and an Uncle Tom which I don't condone by the way. But Joe should conquer his rage and stop being a crusader and let all that go now. When Ali and Joe were on the documentary Champions Forever in 1988 he called him Ali to his face then after that and behind Ali's back he called him Clay. That just proves what kind of man Frazier was although he was a great boxer.
