I feel better about myself when I make contemptible comments of judgment. It's only because I lead a happy and fulfilled life that I can predict the future perfectly absent of errors in decision making.
I have alot of student loan debt, but i am a medical student. Hopefully, much of my student loans can be paid off by doing residency in an uderserved area. This lady, on the other hand, is in financial trouble due to her own bad decisions.
This gal is a dip*hit. She spent herself into a hole. She wallowed in self absorption over her divorce. She put on too many pounds, she spends money to make herself happy, she smokes.
She needs to be mindful and accept responsibility for her own actions. She acts like a child when a credit card is offered, and yet she's an adult that should be able to see the trap they represent.
She was simply living a lifestyle she couldn't afford. And after she was in debt she should have sold her house and moved into a small apartment. Should have sold her car and bought an old beater. This is simply her own fault. No one put a gun to her head and forced her to take out the credit cards and loans. I get pre-approved credit card offers everyday and they all go directly to the shredder. That is my choice.
@collegeisascam The MBA is the most overmarketed degree, and unless you get one from a top tier university, all that you will gain is a lot of student debt.
If we all took an MBA, things would get better for the for-profit universities. Those stocks will be ready to short pretty soon. The eduation bibble is ready to burst.
Credit Cards RoCK! I love my credit cards. Granted one crappy situation can screw me over, but on a normal circumstance; they are paid in full so I owe NOTHING!
Borrowing has a consequence for all of society. Prices are set based not on what people earn but on their income plus their credit. This expansion also has a negative since the banks continue to be bailed out, it means massive insolvency all over society and thus undermines the value of the dollar and increases suffering to everyone. Credit is a cancer that has seriously hurt our society, just look how high the prices of housing went because of credit. Home prices have fallen by 50% near me.

Credit cards aren't evil - its the intention. I pay my balance 100% each statement and get reductions. Learn self control.

This isn't a "trap", it's self indulgence and lack of self-control. Come on, read the fine print when you get a credit card! Plain and simple.

student loans are worse than credit cards, a lot worse.
artmak5 1 year ago
@artmak5 True. Student loans can't be discharged in bankruptcy unless you can prove that it would be an undue burden to have to repay them.

I think the credit card companies are having second thought of all those "preapproved" offers sent out in the mid 90s.
