Do you live anywhere in the northeast USA? We're a 70s prog tribute band in NY with members from 3 states away. Would you be interested in singing & touring with us? With that killer high G, our set would be a piece of cake. Check out the videos on our channel (in particular, Yes - Heart of the Sunrise) and get back to me if you can.
Excellent work, man. Very few people can pull this stuff off. Thanks for keeping it alive.
This is my favorite cover you do....probably aging myself...but it brings back alot of good memories for me...Thanks for knocking it out of the park. Just awesome!
Its amazing what todays technology can do...the computer just fixes everything...I once heard a Lamb with 5 legs sang this song wothout missing a note in 1987
Great job. Whenever I try to sing this, it doesn't come off nearly this good. Of course, it's one of the hardest songs to sing, you've got some range.
Great job dexter! I find your version commendable and enjoyable to listen to. I still do this song with my band. I'm 53 and having trouble hanging onto it these days. However, we get asked to do it and so I persevere, although there are other Boston songs I'd rather be singing, but this one is "The Anthem". Do you sing this live at all, because you may find another level when people are pumping you up to do it. I always feel like I need a day off afterwards. heheheh.
I grew up to this song. I just happened to stumble onto your rendition to hear some covers to it and found yours. I have to say you did a great job. Brad Delp is very hard to measure up to but you did awesome. I could really listen to an album of yours if you do put one out. You have a teriffic voice.
Up until I watched your video NO ONE on Youtube came even close to Brad Delp in singing this wicked classic song that is very hard to sing... but... YOU NAILED IT! Brad is smiling upon you. ROck on dude and ignore the negative postings on jealous wannabes.
sweet stab at a classic, i hope you read this because i have a good tip for you... it's one thing to have the range to sing this, and you do, but you have to FEEL the song when you sing it. sing it like you wrote it, sing it like you've got a broken heart, sing it like you're trying to get in the last few words you'll ever speak to MaryAnne, as she walks away. I've seen her, or someone just like her, walk away and i know.
A lifetime Boston fan.....I'm impressed , and you're a younger dude , so you appreciate classic rock , that's cool !!! Kudos !!! If you can emulate someone , Brad Delp is the man !!!
@johntg123 lol well the person was a pretty awesome singer who performed it this well, probably a stronger voice tho. i heard it performed surprisingly well by a rock cover band actually. But im not sayin this isnt impressive, it is. Really nice range and falsetto! just thought your comment was a lil over the top apologies :P
WOW WOW, I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED, I always thought that last high note was a guitar! LOL. I really did. I can't believe Brad had that of an amazing voice. Why didn't HE hear it though. Why didn't he know what a great talent he was??????? Tear drop tear drop :(
Surely there's a band somewhere in desperate need of a frontman. You've got the style and vocal chops of Adam Lambert, the guy who was second on American Idol. Get someone to record you in a proper studio, you can do so much better than Youtube.
Close - but no cigar ;o) But still - very good singing! Wish I could sing just half as good. Keep on rocking and posting more stuff. Love your taste in music :o)
Wow man I am just learning of your videos and I have to say you have an amazing voice!
