@pacific707 Look up "NBC 1969 FALL 'SEASON 'PROMO ADS" to see the whole "fall preview" special this logo comes from (somebody else uploaded it...their upload is 240p, though....I expect someone to upload a 480p version soon)
The worn out film print look doesn't take anything away fron it. It's still visible and the audio is still sharp. Hope you have more of Larame. Thanks.
1969 and you have colour TV? It's fucking amazing! In Argentina, we did not have color TV until the 1978 World Cup. The official broadcasts began in 1980 with Channel 7. But an NBC style channel, the 13, did experimental broadcasts in NTSC on 1972. Today is the state of the art network, with experimental HDTV programming. We're so slow...
@89990000 Right! hehe. You also had the same digital terrestrial television standard we adopted in 2009 (ISDB-Tb). In Buenos Aires we can tune 21 channels, 1 music channel HD 24/7 and the Public Television with a few programmes in HD (rest of the day is upscaling 14:9). "Slow and furious"
it even airs on my country through cable tv channels. i'm not in the u.s. i live in the philippines and talk tv and other american-oriented stations are providing it here!
I remember a few years back when TRIO was showing reruns of Laugh-In, they left the NBC peacock color tag on the beginnings of those shows. How I wish I'd recorded all those programs before the network became Sleuth...
Thanks for sharing. I'm guessing this comes from a broadcast of 'Today'?
Not quite..It comes from a special NBC made to promote their 1969 line-up (I think, I was told once the promo-special was only shown to station managers, though I could be wrong).
I wish this clip would have gone on longer. I would have liked to have heard Joe Garigiola and Hugh Downs on television again.

We don't have digital television yet, but it will be going on at 2015. We are using Japan's standard. But it will be 2015 :(

OK. I saw 'TODAY' on the snippet which led me to that conclusion. It's still a great piece of TV history though. :o)

Any chance you can post that special in the near future. Would've liked to know what new shows made it through that year (if any) :oP
