The economy is doomed to experience a labor shortage because of the retirement of the Baby Boom generation. Increased immigration and rapid wage growth would increase the SSA fund's revenues.

I'm a Mexican immigrant and recently I became an American Citizen. I feel so proud to be an American. I understand very well American feellings about this issue. I hate illegal people too. I promise I'm not going to justify this crime but I'm sure Americans are reasonable people. We must to see the video in google ZEITGEST: ADDENDUM. There are a lot of interesting information about it so we could resolve this problem in a intelligent way.

Why has the U.S. left abandoned the U.S. working class in favor of illegal immigrant workers??? The U.S. left has historically fought for working class Americans (via unions, etc) but..... over the past 20 years or so, the U.S. left has totally abandoned U.S. workers in favor of ILLEGAL foreign workers... ie. workers who undermine U.S. workers since illegals will work for lower wages. Hence, the left is actually helping greedy U.S. corporations keep their cheap labor (which is VERY profitable).
