Newcastle - TMH, WFY, David Archuleta - Uk Tour 4-26-09

David Archuleta will never be placed in the category of Nickeloden type singer. He is a talent that is rare in today's music industry. Those who can not grasp that misses out on something very special - THE VOICE....Personally, I like both apples and oranges..they just have different flavors and texture, but both are great and can be appreciated for their uniqueness..

Archie's voice thrives more with a lot of ECHO EFFECT on his mike. There was more echo effect at Edinburgh and his voice sounds better with ECHO. In here, there was no echo and although his voice is very good, it sounds more dull. Plus when you compare the singing of McFly to Archuleta, it is like apples and oranges. Archuleta sounds like a unpolished kid / Nickelodean-type singer. McFly is more mature and professional in their singing and probably what most of the audience is there for.

this crowd looks really dull compared to the one we got in edinburgh , they seem to just be standing there lol whereas in edinburgh everyone was jumpin around with david , cheering him on and at parts even singing along with him!

Jeff - Singers are loathe to sing 2 songs in the same key back to back.  They tend to sound like the same song and have a numbing effect on the listener's mind. In the latest set, the first 2 songs are very close, and the last 4 songs are virtually in the same key. I can only guess that the effect on the crowd is not as good as it might be.

Touch My Hand is such a GREAT song! David's voice sounds RICH AND SMOOTH~ LOVE IT! ~and the crowd is transfixed on him!! They Love him and the band! Then WFY~ I always loved this song! Was this the one that was recorded in Minnesota? The "locals" would love to know! :) Thanks for posting the vids, and for keeping David' Happy while overseas!

Maybe he'll be able to record here again (MN) when he returns on his tour this summer?! (that can't come fast enough) :)We LOVE David's music soo much, and can hardly wait to hear more!!

Is the idea to have a "swing" song for each venue (My Hands, Don't Let Go and Angels for this one). The UK audience will have the benefit of hearing the entire CD but over the course of the tour. Brilliant idea! I couldn't tell David had a cold in Scotland....he sounded great. Thanks for posting so quickly....
