Don't disguise as pyro, every good pyro is trigger-happy, and that is a thing a spy can't reproduce.

Try to be an engineer, people will not be alarmed so much by the fact you are "going the wrong position"

a spy has an advantage over other spies as because most spies tend to not disguise as their own team. a spy will be able to spot an enemy spy immediately because of poor disguise habits as they mingle amongst their own team. thus there lies the advantage.

@wastedmoney15 Make sure your computers hardware is good enough to run tf2 (if it's not, get something that wasn't made 10 years ago). Then check the integrity of the game files (right click tf2 in Steam -> options -> somewhere).

Anything beyond that, ask in a forum. Youtube is not a good place to find answers for numerous reasons. Oh and it would've helped if you told us the error message you get, if any. Even a single word can halve the possibilities one would have to consider.

Here's a good tip that may just save you:When disguised,if you're getting spy-checked with a gun by anyone BUT a pyro,don't run away,just pretend you're not getting damaged,since a disguised spy doesn't bleed,thus hiding you,so when they leave you alone,you may have just barely any health,but you can easily backstab the spy-checker as the person will let his guard down.It saved me quite a few times,and trust me,it's twice as fun when fooling them like that. :D

Sorry for the double post, but I have more 2 spy tips. When on top of an enemy, crouch and you can reach his back. Also, if a Sniper is using the Razorback, just crouch-walk over to him and fire your Revolver into him 3 times.

Here's a little tip. When behind a disguised Spy, your hand instinctively raises for the backstab animation. You don't have to poke all your teammates in the back, just stand behind then.

A little tips to all you spies out there, if you stand next to someone while youre disguised and that person shoots one shot at you because he suspects you might be a spy, just stand still and look at him. If he shoots again, just keep standind still. If you run away he will know your a spy so just stand there. Then when he turns his back on you... BANG he's dead.

Also; It's a REALLY bad idea to chose spy and disguise as a Scout. A spy disguised as Scout don't run as fast as the ''real'' Scout.

Another tip, if you are screaching for a spy, look out for supicious behaviors, like a sniper running to the intelligents, a scout running slower than an average scout, a heavy not shooting at enemies even it is in front of them or a character following another character other than the medic.However, if a medic is not healing the teammate in front of him and he is still following him, there's the high chances of him being a spy.

2.Disguise as Heavy

3.Call a medic

4.Don't get killed

6.Repeat as many times until you die by medic
