has anybody managed to use general hydroponic 3 part flora nutrients without rusty brown marks appearing on plant leaves on basil. the flora series chart reccomendations gives you the mix guide but it gives you a very low ec level yet they reccomend any where from 1.2 to 2.2 ec level. how do you determine how much of each to mix other than what the chart guides you? i have found ghe 3 part causes brown spots on leaves. has anybody managed to get spotless plants with ghe flora
Thanks for sharing a great video about aeroflo. I think the video could have been better if there were some clear instructions on how to build the aeroflo. Like for every step, there should be a voice over on what's being installed and the details about the materials used. Anyhow, this video would still be a great help for those people wanting to build their own aeroflo system :)
Cool vid, but why would you PH adjust prior to adding nutes? Most nutes are PH buffered. Add nutes to water, THEN PH adjust. Otherwise your PH could actually end up way too low!
@habitnz my post was vague. my mixture rides stable at 5.8 for days. I just add tap water every 2-3 days. certain products mix very well with natural compost.
@habitnz I'm not a noobie, I've probably been growing pot for longer than you've been alive. The only reason I posted a comment for this vid was to warn people not to pre mix nutrients together as wrongfully demonstrated in the video. Add nutrients to water, stir, THEN adjust for PH. And, the PH range for a hydroponic system such as this is 5.7-5.9, NEVER over 6.0 or you could see Ca/Mg def.
is there any sort of trellis set up i can buy for the aeroflo2 18 for veggies that climb?...any ideas would help out also. thanks

I know why.
If you check his nutrients you will see that he is using gh flora threepart nutrients, these don't affect the ph at all, totally neutral...
He is just following the instructions...
delta9steamroller 3 years ago
@delta9steamroller no he's not and yes they are. GH nutrients are totally ph buffered. PH adjust last, always, period. It's pretty simple.

Depends on the recommendations of the nutrient provider. Some of Humboldt's organic line and bud honey can be pre mixed.
