Nice work..I might pop some Baritone Uke strings on mine myself at some point..I have some in the post anyhow.
It is a great looking Uke and it's what attracted me to it..also the price..I bought it as a festival option to take along with me when enjoying the downtime...thought it was cheap enough that if it got nicked it wouldn't worry me too much...that said I think I would miss it!!
I bought the MPM seeing that you do a wonderfull job on it. Can you give a description on the changes you have given this Uke? I bought the aquila strings already (GCEA), some info on the bridge and neck straightening would be nice!
Great review. Despite being a complete beginner I have already developed a "thing" for peardrop Ukes. Yours is certainly pretty, seems its a nice instrument after lavishing a few Euros on it.
It really does sound great now, i play it daily and really enjoy it. I mostly use if for lead lines and anything 'fiddly' cos my hands are a bit big. It has been well worth the extra i spent.
fair enough, but you should know that mine sounds great now and i really enjoy it, so...double the price cos of the extra work and you can have a nice uke.
Is a very good loocking uke, and the sound is not so bad, i like it

If you get tired of it, you can always do a song by The Who, and end it with a classic Pete Townshend smash up!!!!

Sounds pretty good from where I'm sitting. Your luthier friend did some good work. Looks cool!

Not bad at all for a laminate that finally sounds like that.
I love that bell shape and the awesome F holes.
A good luthier/tech is a cheap instrument buyers best friend. I had a cheap requinto set-up and turned into quite a player.

you're dead right about the luthier and compared to western european prices for the same service he is an absolute bargain.
(the f holes ARE aresome aren't they?)
