Very true and a good practice. This is not my main yard and gets mowed every 2-3 mowings of the yard. This pass was the 1st of the year, after the wettest spring in history, and for some of the grass the 1st mowing in years. My previous mower could not mow it so it was left. With the X748 is much better maintained than before.
I do not have a 3pt hitch or PTO which limits that option some.
Did you know that it will run a 4ft LX4 rotary cutter on the back. There is a video on You Tube of someone using a 413 on theirs. Better cut that way.
You are having no problem with this mowing, but it's a shame you can't bale it and sell it to a local livestock farmer. We have a similar field of about 4 acres of land at our church and we found a farmer who cuts, rakes, bales it a couple times a summer for a little money in the church plate.
Hi, get a 3pt mounted flail! Lot faster.

The other comment I have is that mowing at 3" is the way to go. long enough and short enough to be mowable and aesthetically pleasing.

What do you mean, "Sorry for the lack of music"? Hearing that engine work is music to my ears.
