Hey DJ PHD. Just wanna thank you for making such a great video on the use of the IDJ2. I bought one a few months ago and your video was very instrumental on familiarizing myself to how it works. Great job and much appreciated. Thanx a bunch. Peace bro. - DJ LA
Would i be able to plug this into my mac to play the music from my mac because im using the Gemini CDMP-6000 but it broke so im looking into this but i would like to work it through my comp and is it compatible with virtual DJ and nice mix btw dont stop doin wat u doin bro
I'm already where I need to be, you are trying to get there, so it sounds like you need to keep practicing. some kids just don't get it, but that's O.K.
You would need one if you're going to do a big party, but if you're working on it at home until you get ready to go out there, then you can get by, by plugging in to your stereo, it's all about what you're trying to do.
The video you looked at is a video to help people under stand how the iDJ2 mixer works, and if you had any cents you would know that, so for one you must not be a D.J. and if you are you must not be a very good one. so you have a good day and thank you for your comment.
hey dude...i am really impressed with this IDJ2 and would like to buy one can you tell me how much would it cost for the whole system i mean with the amp , idj2 and speakers. also let me know is it worth to buy the case with this thing.... and also recommend me sew artist so that i can get some songs to start with....
Hi, I just checked out the Herculie's mixer after you e-mailed me, the difference is you need your computer for the Herculie's mixer so you can see your music, the iDJ2 has it's own screen for your ipod and the flash drive, and you can have the iDJ2,flash drive, a turntable, and a CD player all plugged in and ready to go. but that's just me I'm having fun with the iDJ2.
You would like the list from that video, because if you would like all my music I'll tell you how that can happen also, just send a e-mail to my inbox, and we'll talk
Hey man that was excellent. I just went to a Sam Ash music store 2day & took a look at this beautiful mixer and im planning on buying it within the next couple of months. Two questions though:Is this mixer good for beginning DJ's? and where do you find all of that club type music or techno type music that theyu play in all the clubs in the mix's that they create, like what genre's or artists do you find all of your stuff by? plz plz plz get back to me asap b/c any feedback will help tremendously.
The mixer is good for anyone, if you starting out or been mixing for some time, I love it and you can always plug other things to it, and most of my music I had for some time now.
It work's great, just like anything else you play in the clubs, you just have more options, because you can plug other equiptment in to the iDJ2 and use them all.
I recommend this for anyone because you get more for your money, you can mix with just the iDJ2 or you can plug in other units and use the iDJ2 as a mixer, I like it.
Thanks, The best way to get to your songs, put them in categories, like all your house music, R & B, old school, that way you can get to them much quicker, and just match the numbers on the beats per minute, and you can't go wrong.
hey garagetalk I'm very intrested in buying one of these idj2 units to use as a backup and maybe a main system. I want to know if the crossfader is user replaceable or should I wait till they release the idj3?
Thank you, it's good that he has someone in his life that can help him see what's right, I mix with vinyl also, I have other video out there that show it all, thanks again.
Hey D.J's do you all see that comment that this kid made, kids like this are the ones that are not going the make it in life, I'm trying to show people how things work, you need to know before you can go.
you mentioned something about it crashing?...and you loaded some file numark sent you, whats that about?.....also how good is the scrathing on this?.....
There have been instances I've read where the ipod has crashed using the IDJ2 (one left a DJ stranded in his gig as he had no back up w/ him! lol). I assumed that was more an ipod problem not the gear. Generally though, its rare for this to happen... though a good DJ would always have a back up! hope this helps.
I see djsheree had replied to your comment, but it's not the ipod that was the problem, when they first came out with the iDJ2, it would crash just like any other computer, and numark had a download to stop it from doing that, so it's been a year now and it has not crashed, I still love it, and I'll be right back on it as soon as I'm done with my documentary.
You can only play a touch or an iPhone in direct mode, not to mix with. But you could always put your mixing tunes on a cheap USB memory stick anyway...
Good stuff P-H-D! Thanks for posting. I've been VERY close to buying one. Only problem is what you eluded to in your part 1 video, and that is...its crashed a few times on you. The reviews I have read about the IDJ2 have been 50/50. Looks great, reasonably priced, and seems easy enough to use. But have heard it has a tendency to crash. Not good! Your thoughts?? Again, great video! Appreciate you posting and appreciate your comments!
Numark did e-mail me a download and it's been O.K so far, just take something else with you if you are doing a party, the only for sure thing is Turntables, but I like the iDJ2 it's a fun thing to have.
Cool cool...Appreciate the response. I currently have a CD MIX 2 by Numark. It's been solid! It's just a matter of time before I step up to the IDJ2. Thanks again, and keep the videos coming. They're fun to watch.
I bought one about 5 months ago, I love it. More imortantly its not crashed once ever, ever. I too had the same concerns as you, but I can't ignore the facts. This is just my personal experience, but feel its worth mentioning to balance the other reviews.
it's nothing like turntables, but with practice I'm sure you will be close, go to the video I have on scratching, it's under D.J's that like to scratch, I hope that will help you out. your back in the D.J Doctor P-H-D
No need for practicing, I'm just showing people how the iDJ2 works for people that are looking to get one, my D.J days are over I do it for the fun of it, my son is the one thats in to that now,but I have other video on youtube that the beats are matching, but once again I'm doing it just for fun, if I was a up and coming D.J. I would work on that, but thanks for your concern and your comment

Hi, I just checked out the Herculie's mixer after you e-mailed me, the difference is you need your computer for the Herculie's mixer so you can see your music, the iDJ2 has it's own screen for your ipod and the flash drive, and you can have the iDJ2,flash drive, a turntable, and a CD player all plugged in and ready to go. but that's just me I'm having fun with the iDJ2.
garagetalk 3 years ago
question where do u plug in the idj2 mixer
i mean do u need a audio receiver for it ?
YOUNGGUNZ137 3 years ago
You go from the iDJ2 master out put to the in put of your receiver or your amp, just like you would plug up any other mixer.
garagetalk 3 years ago
does this have an auto sync? Or does it atleast show the bpm for every track after using the pitch control
Slugg329 3 years ago
Yes it shows the BPM for every track, and you will see the BPM change as you move the pitch, so your mix will come in nice.
