  • @WhiteBoyzMGJB no it doesnt. you need to have drivers for it which the idj2 doesnt have.

  • if i connect speakers to it with a usb plug in would it play out of the speakers?

  • 313 whoooo

  • Hey PHD, what kind of monitors do you use and where did you get them from? Thanx. - DJ LA

  • Hey DJ PHD. Just wanna thank you for making such a great video on the use of the IDJ2. I bought one a few months ago and your video was very instrumental on familiarizing myself to how it works. Great job and much appreciated. Thanx a bunch. Peace bro. - DJ LA

  • what name they song ?

  • OFF THE MOFO HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is this a good mixer for a beginner?

  • what kind of headphones are you useing

  • Cool vid! Thx! That Flo song is my wife's favorite lol! Gonna play it on the iDJ2 for her Bday!

  • DDEEEETTROIT. I loved the mixing. Im from Detroit too. DJ Poz.

  • how much was this

  • ay brotha wus tha song on deck a?

  • dude u r shit..

  • wuts dat song on deck a???

  • so bad mixing

  • a kuanto kuestaa??

  • Would i be able to plug this into my mac to play the music from my mac because im using the Gemini CDMP-6000 but it broke so im looking into this but i would like to work it through my comp and is it compatible with virtual DJ and nice mix btw dont stop doin wat u doin bro

  • nice, that was actually a good little demo! lovin the house music of course : )

  • can you please do a video of the left beat with day 'n' night-kid cudi. i think that would sound amazing.

  • hey can run virtual dj through this thing

  • i found these two videos helpful i have question can u plug it into a laptop and use it in virtual dj

  • no its standalone

  • DOPE!!!! might cop it today... what joint was that, the blend with missy?

  • Is there any dj programs compatible with this

  • nope.. it isnt usb controlled

  • how often does it crash

  • It only crash twice, numark sent me something to download and it has not crashed after that.

  • yeah that mix sucked

  • why did it crash???

in the one video you said numark told you to download something, why did it do that, did they say????

    HITT

  • It must of crashed because I was mixing to fast, but they never said why it did it. but it's O.K. for now.

  • not really.. MY question is how do u take the beat of low and but it on dead and gone

  • headphones??????

  • What about the headphones, the iDJ2 has a spot for two of them, is that what you needed to know

  • thanks...but i wanted to know what's your headphones make?Numark?Sony?.... :)

  • Sony

  • I'm already where I need to be, you are trying to get there, so it sounds like you need to keep practicing. some kids just don't get it, but that's O.K.

  • Do you need an amplifier

  • You would need one if you're going to do a big party, but if you're working on it at home until you get ready to go out there, then you can get by, by plugging in to your stereo, it's all about what you're trying to do.

  • Thanks

  • yo man fun shit tho still!and a good way ta start out...plus i just e-zly added a miniKORGkaoss.goodfun!

  • Hey that's pretty cool.

  • Great video and does the idj2 take aac files?

  • I'm not sure about that one. sorry

  • u suck dude

  • The video you looked at is a video to help people under stand how the iDJ2 mixer works, and if you had any cents you would know that, so for one you must not be a D.J. and if you are you must not be a very good one. so you have a good day and thank you for your comment.

  • hey dude...i am really impressed with this IDJ2 and would like to buy one can you tell me how much would it cost for the whole system i mean with the amp , idj2 and speakers. also let me know is it worth to buy the case with this thing.... and also recommend me sew artist so that i can get some songs to start with....

  • how much is da whole system?

  • what do you think about the hurculies mixer...and whats the diffrence between the two?

  • Hi, I just checked out the Herculie's mixer after you e-mailed me, the difference is you need your computer for the Herculie's mixer so you can see your music, the iDJ2 has it's own screen for your ipod and the flash drive, and you can have the iDJ2,flash drive, a turntable, and a CD player all plugged in and ready to go. but that's just me I'm having fun with the iDJ2.

  • question where do u plug in the idj2 mixer

i mean do u need a audio receiver for it ?

  • You go from the iDJ2 master out put to the in put of your receiver or your amp, just like you would plug up any other mixer.

  • does this have an auto sync? Or does it atleast show the bpm for every track after using the pitch control

  • Yes it shows the BPM for every track, and you will see the BPM change as you move the pitch, so your mix will come in nice.

  • hot!

May i have your play list?

  • You would like the list from that video, because if you would like all my music I'll tell you how that can happen also, just send a e-mail to my inbox, and we'll talk

  • Hey man that was excellent. I just went to a Sam Ash music store 2day & took a look at this beautiful mixer and im planning on buying it within the next couple of months. Two questions though:Is this mixer good for beginning DJ's? and where do you find all of that club type music or techno type music that theyu play in all the clubs in the mix's that they create, like what genre's or artists do you find all of your stuff by? plz plz plz get back to me asap b/c any feedback will help tremendously.

  • The mixer is good for anyone, if you starting out or been mixing for some time, I love it and you can always plug other things to it, and most of my music I had for some time now.

  • How does this work in the clubs?

  • It work's great, just like anything else you play in the clubs, you just have more options, because you can plug other equiptment in to the iDJ2 and use them all.

  • Excellent! Wont have to invest in two vinyl turntables or CDJs carrying a rack full of CDs. Thanks!

  • would you recommend this to just starting djs

  • I recommend this for anyone because you get more for your money, you can mix with just the iDJ2 or you can plug in other units and use the iDJ2 as a mixer, I like it.

  • I'm thinking about getting this, but on a budget really, trying to find a cheap amp and speakers, any help?

  • Maybe try a pond shop.

  • Yea was thinking that but I might get a kit with Gemini CDM3600 CD Player/Mixer combo.

  • That's cool, but I would still check the pond shop just to see.

  • It's too expensive for me.

It costs 750 $ in Poland, not 530 like in USA.

    I'm 15. I want buy it someday :(

  • You will, you have time.

  • gawd i hate the crossfader on the iDJ2, doesnt actually fade from deck A to deck B, it just switches deck instead of fading

  • Check the crossfader switch it's marked CF SLOPE it need's to be up.

  • Good mix you've obviously been around the I dj2 more than me : )

This device is actually quite complicated to me

I'm having trouble going into others songs like from A to B and cross fading

    any suggestions?

  • Thanks, The best way to get to your songs, put them in categories, like all your house music, R & B, old school, that way you can get to them much quicker, and just match the numbers on the beats per minute, and you can't go wrong.

  • good mix bro...... I make music put I want to start Dj'ing should I get this for a start.

  • You can start with what you like to D.J with, but with the iDJ2 you get more for your money.

  • great vid man. im gettin 1 today! cant wait,

is 13 a good age to start mixing?

  • The sooner the better, but any age is good. It's all about doing what you love.

    and thanks for the comment.

  • hey garagetalk I'm very intrested in buying one of these idj2 units to use as a backup and maybe a main system. I want to know if the crossfader is user replaceable or should I wait till they release the idj3?

  • You will need to check with numark about the crossfader, but the iDJ2 is good to have.

  • my grandma's pussy mixed better then you

  • Then play with that, and don't worry about my mix

  • Suck it kid

hes just messin around with the mixer

like he said this is a lazy mixer

  • Thank you, and it's a cool thing to have around.

  • sorry man. that was my friend, and i totally agree with you. and this is a great help for newer dj's. but i'll stick to vinyl

  • Thank you, it's good that he has someone in his life that can help him see what's right, I mix with vinyl also, I have other video out there that show it all, thanks again.

  • great job using the think but you fucking didnt even mix shit

    fag

  • Hey D.J's do you all see that comment that this kid made, kids like this are the ones that are not going the make it in life, I'm trying to show people how things work, you need to know before you can go.

  • sweet mixing man!...

you mentioned something about it crashing?...and you loaded some file numark sent you, whats that about?.....also how good is the scrathing on this?.....

  • There have been instances I've read where the ipod has crashed using the IDJ2 (one left a DJ stranded in his gig as he had no back up w/ him! lol). I assumed that was more an ipod problem not the gear. Generally though, its rare for this to happen... though a good DJ would always have a back up! hope this helps.

  • Sorry... look at above post. Its late here and I thought I'd hit the reply link.

  • I been so in to making this film , I can't get right back to the people as soon as I would like to, so thanks for your help with the comment

  • I see djsheree had replied to your comment, but it's not the ipod that was the problem, when they first came out with the iDJ2, it would crash just like any other computer, and numark had a download to stop it from doing that, so it's been a year now and it has not crashed, I still love it, and I'll be right back on it as soon as I'm done with my documentary.

  • Good luck with the doco... And the clarification on my two cents worth :D

  • Hey keep your two cents coming, I appreciate the help

  • sick...best vid on youtube so far...

  • can u mix with the ipod touch

  • You should be able to, a ipod is a ipod and that is what it's setup for so I would say yes.

  • You can only play a touch or an iPhone in direct mode, not to mix with. But you could always put your mixing tunes on a cheap USB memory stick anyway...

  • can i use a cd player to play music

  • Yes you can, you can plug in a CD player and a turntable or your computer and a CD player, and you know it takes the ipod and a memory stick.

  • can u hook it up to your computer and use software

  • Yes you can, you can play music from your computer to the iDJ2, I do know that, I hope that was some help.

  • Doc, you are the man. Want to buy but better to buy from US or UK? (where I am from)

  • You may get a better price going US, go on line and go to iDJnow and check with them

  • real nice jod Doc.

  • awesome awesome stuff.Thanks Doctor P-H-D

  • Thats a tight unit. Im ready to give up my denon and switch to ipod heaven! Tight PHD!

  • You can use turntables and or CD Players with the iDJ2 also.

  • can you record music from the idj2 to a computer so you can burn it onto a cd?

  • Yes you can.

  • Yes and Yes, it will be o.k for starters and you can play music from your computer.

  • thanks man very helpful

  • would this be good if you have never DJ'd but have an ipod and would like to start DJ'ing?

also can you plug it in to a computer and use computer software on it?

  • wow nice!! hey what is the name of the song at 3:05 and the otherone 4:27

  • The song at 3:05 is Lick shots (house mix) the song at 4:27 is, is it the music

  • Good stuff P-H-D! Thanks for posting. I've been VERY close to buying one. Only problem is what you eluded to in your part 1 video, and that is...its crashed a few times on you. The reviews I have read about the IDJ2 have been 50/50. Looks great, reasonably priced, and seems easy enough to use. But have heard it has a tendency to crash. Not good! Your thoughts?? Again, great video! Appreciate you posting and appreciate your comments!

    Thanks

  • Numark did e-mail me a download and it's been O.K so far, just take something else with you if you are doing a party, the only for sure thing is Turntables, but I like the iDJ2 it's a fun thing to have.

I hope that help's you out.

  • Cool cool...Appreciate the response. I currently have a CD MIX 2 by Numark. It's been solid! It's just a matter of time before I step up to the IDJ2. Thanks again, and keep the videos coming. They're fun to watch.

  • Yeah, I hear issues have been sorted with the 1.09 update that just came out.

  • I bought one about 5 months ago, I love it. More imortantly its not crashed once ever, ever. I too had the same concerns as you, but I can't ignore the facts. This is just my personal experience, but feel its worth mentioning to balance the other reviews.

  • I'm always trying to mix 5 songs in 5 min, and just like a computer some times it to much to fast, but it's been O.K for now.

  • killer mix.... 1 question ?

can u scratch like or close to the same as records...

  • it's nothing like turntables, but with practice I'm sure you will be close, go to the video I have on scratching, it's under D.J's that like to scratch, I hope that will help you out. your back in the D.J Doctor P-H-D

  • Hi thanks for doing a review on IDJ2..

BUT.. I do have one question though..

    Which one is better??

    Cortex DMix 600 .. or .. IDJ2??

  • As far as which mixer or player is better you will need to go and check them out for your self to see witch one feels good to you,

The iDJ2 works out for me for what I like to do, and it's something I can take every where I go.

Thanks for your comment and your question

  • you should work more on matching the beats.... use the TAP buttons to line up the beats! other than that... keep practicing DOCTOR P-H-D DJ ICE

  • No need for practicing, I'm just showing people how the iDJ2 works for people that are looking to get one, my D.J days are over I do it for the fun of it, my son is the one thats in to that now,but I have other video on youtube that the beats are matching, but once again I'm doing it just for fun, if I was a up and coming D.J. I would work on that, but thanks for your concern and your comment

  • Hey D.J ICE, check out D.J Doctor P-H-D from 1984, that was my days, hell you wasn't even born back then, and check out iDJ for the love music, then e-mail me

  • word

  • hahah great video man!, def getting idj2, shit one more week to payday...can't wait.

  • awesome video!
