What a GREAT song! My favorite from 'The Death of Cool'. I saw them back in college in 1992 at Metro in Chicago. What a fantastic show! Had the tour shirt until about 2 years ago when it just ripped completely.....loved these guys!
Pay attention to slow subdued beginning and follow the song as it gradually ascends to a loud screaming peak - ending in a sudden death finish they did so f-ing good in quite a few of their songs.
I heard a version of Mad as Snow on BBC Radio a few months ago from this session. If you got that put it up please. Thanks for this.
@BluePedal I guess no trace on Youtube for Mad as Snow. Would have loved to hear that from the Peel Sessions. Do you know if it made it to any EP or otherwise?
Goddamn, Julian Swales is a genius...

Can't recall who opened for them that particular night. Just a brilliant show, and I remember they closed the show with 'Prize'! Great band!

@jzydlo 1992 at the Metro, very cool. Did they share the bill with anyone?

Always remember this version of the track, far better than the album version, thanks for adding this!

Isn't this from Death of Cool? The image above is the wrong album... if memory serves me correctly.

Absolutely beautiful song: music for the other side of midnight, and for another world.
