Hey, crimeinpartner, I have a question for you. How much health do Olrox have? By the way, I noticed you are missing a sheild. When you are at the librarian, you can buy an Ice sheild for 200+ money. You can also buy some pretty neat capes that look like NitM capes.

Actually, when you show up, you can actually take his offer and sit down... when you stand up again, he starts to attack. I always found it humorous that there was a 'polite' vampire inside Dracula's Castle

in video 13, when you uncovered the secrets, you found the holy sword in the colleseum. However, if you play the PSP version or the sega saturn version, you can get an extra familiar in the colleseum called the N Demon. He does the same thing as the regular demon found in the abandoned mine, but he has a smiley face! Crimeinpartner, if you get the PSAP or Sega Saturn, that would be a godd thing to pick up and use aganist enemies =}

There are people saying if you align the angel statue with the moon @ 6:15 that it will show a demon instead of an angel but I haven't been able to do this. can anyone confirm or know how this is done?

Funny thing about the bat familiar: Whenever Alucard turns into a bat it makes a little heart emoticon, as if fallen in love with him. When he turns back to human, it makes a questionmark emoticon. I think all additional bats do so, but i'm not really sure.

You do know that the Estoc was used to pierce armor by thrusting.Thats why it's thrust.It can be swung but the tip of the sword is able to pierce armor....or so they say.

Orlox's Quatrer has to have my favorite music in this game. Great LP. I never realized the usefulness of the fist weapons until watching this. I usually ignored using them due to the range, but this gives me a new way to try to play through again.

well, lasers are essecially condensed light, I don't know the details, but Lasers are light, ofc unless you can condense sunlight, you can't make a sunlight laser, the only difference is the source of light, be it sun or electrically generated.

my bat familiar has a hard time keeping up with me. its very slow, and the only time it moves fast as when im a bat or if im entering a different stage of the castle. i noticed yours moves at nearly the same pace as you. does have to do with the version of the game? i downloaded it off xbl.

If I didn't know any better I would say this is probably being done on a emulator, I am damn sure I hear keyboard keys being hit, and this might explain why spells aren't used and why he had a problem finding the 'sonar' button earlier.

The Alucard sword after you beat Death.

The strongest weapon is the muramasa blood sword. Its attack can become stronger by killing enemies that spill out blood (maduesa, blood zombies, dark octopus) The sword also grants dark metamorphasis and unique range. The more blood you get on you and or the sword the more powerful it becomes. It is maxed out at 999 ATK. But it takes an uber amount of patience to increase its ATK. About 7 min for 1 point given the method

You mentioned the Ghost was practically useless, but after level 26 it heals you for 8 health per hit. After level 51 it clings to the enemy no matter how quick the enemy moves. After level 76 it can 'bite' quicker than once per second, but the 'bite' frequency is always slowly increases as its level increase (after level every 10 levels is is a noticeable increase).

yes, but level up the ghost take some time and with better familiars and at low level, ghost sucks

@KebaRPG It's fun and all, but he's right it is the most useless (next to the faerie). Perhaps it would be nice for an intermediate player who has rushed through the game, or some other sort of extreme case. It can easily be replaced by Soul Steal or Mourneblade (when you attack the sword does the same thing as the ghost).

Olrox is actually one of my favorite bosses next to Galamoth. There's just something about killing a personal friend to Dracula... ;) You totally didn't demonstrate Estoc's ability to do a boost thrust. It's fun.

The sheer fact that it always thrust is annoying enough. There are points in the game where you want a katana's sphere slash to hit low if you are going for a 2-handler.  I was never a fan of most 2-handlers.

@restocker2 You should see what the Bat Familiar does when you are the mist and you should see what the Ghost Familiar does period it is a little humorous.

You could access the upper parts faster with the Gravity Boots instead of the Bat form.

Did you know that you could destroy things in his room before fighting Olrox?

Oh but once you get the Force of Echo Relic you can attack in Bat Form much easier then using the fire of bat. You will need echo first too.

I have heard the moon can change in this room and affect the Statue with it.

You didn't tell how to do the Sword Brother Spell with the Sword Familiar.

All familiars gain exp whether they or you make the kill. Otherwise, familiars like the fairy which are purely support would never be able to level as they don't make any sort of kills themself.

I just don't like spells in all honesty. Most of them, in my opinion, are situational at best. I do show a few of the spells throughout the game as the need arises, but yeah, I'd rather just hack my way through things 99% of the time.
