Umm.... If you don't mind me asking. Why are the riffles in your sluice box installed backwards ?? You two silly fellers may want to turn them around !! LOL !! If you have the high edge of the riffles facing upstream it causes high pressure turbulance = (BAD) .When you have the high edge facing downstream it causes a low pressure eddy behind the riffle and will catch all the gold (GOOD). Let me know how it works out for ya !! Anyways,Funny Video at least you guys are having alot of fun !!!

vids great, but your pannins technique is crap. you never dip and pull out of the water all the way. plus it would be nice to see you use the riffles, especially since it is so concentrated. but overall great vid. 5 stars.

Of course you realize that every prospector/gold miner has his own panning technique that probably is a little different from yours (and many old timers/purists are horrified that the plastic pans even have riffles and refuse to use anything but old, beat-up metal pans)...

But, that's the beauty of gold mining. Everyone is free to do their own thing.

You might want to buy one of our gold panning kits to try it yourself... Gold is very heavy - so once it moves to the bottom of the pan, the top material can be discarded.
