Why would you say the C# is so much slower? OpenTK should be very close in terms of performance. Is Box2DX the problem? Are you running the C# in debug mode?
My guess would be that the C# is just really poorly coded in comparison.

Actually, the second version does not lag... That's due to the screen capturing software. The OpenTK version lags horribly...
