Doubtless a great, warm, powerful interpretation! but I think CHUQUISENGO got a more pure way to the slow mouvement and an even more clear performance of the Gigue, fantastic!!
I heard your Recital on Mezzo - it's fantastically excellent and naturally real - Bach's Prelude from c-moll Partita was changed a little - but it marvelous! And Shimanovsky's pieces - especially Sheherezade - were very interesting
ABB gets things like that thanks to the genius of its employees. Still, in the name of profit, the company is laying off workers in the plant of Galindo to hire others in Turkey paying even lower wages. 160 families will be sent straight to misery because of the greed of ABB. Watch the irreverent and unexpected video produced by the workers as protest against the greed of ABB. Search for ABB Galindo "Cierre por pelotas" in YouTube. Shame ABB. All support workers ABB!
I ´ve listend to this marvelous piece three times..live....it´s gorgeous...soooo peaceful and incredibly plesant...I adore this sarabande...I am so thankful to him he performed it...
Actually, I heard Warmpth in a cartoon by Fred Mogubgub, narrated by Mel Brooks about not being able to express true art and "Warmpth" until you have suffered. I looked for the cartoon on You Tube but it was not there a year ago.
Mr. A. has the same spirit of enjoyment as Cecilia Bartoli.
Some music just posseses you, makes you wonder about the infinite beauty of the universe, the miracle of life, the existence of God...and this particular Sarabande piece by Bach is so simple yet jaw droppingl powerful.... Great performance!
The sarabande is absolutely fantastic! I only recently discovered Anderszewski and I'm very impressed. However, I still prefer Gould's version of the Gigue, this one just seemed a tad too fast and a lot less brilliant and clear than Glenn's - it sounded more like a hectic race than a dance. Still, good stuff.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! I was fortunate enough to have seen this man in concert once and was blown away. Even watching his videos is a treat; especially when it's Bach!
What I mean by that is stylistically Gould may not be perfection but his Playing Technique is. Gould can seperate each note no matter how fast its played. Nothing in his playing is blurred, even 64th notes can be heard clearly from each other, and thats when both hands are doing it, so each note fits perfectly into the spots between what the other hand is doing.
Hes a true master, He adds a little romantic touch to Bach that Gould never did. But Gould playing is still supreme. There is no one alive or dead that can match Gould, You may not Goulds style, but its perfection. D
Although it is very unlike most Bach, one must keep in mind that the piano wasn't a mainstream instrument at the time, and this song almost starts to favor a more romantic sound at many points, instead of a baroque sound. don't think of this as your normal Bach, although it is a wonderful song, very well written, and very well played
Sorry, but this sounds too "mellow"; while being beautiful at times, to my personal taste there is a lack of articulation and rythmic quality which usually defines Bach. But the pianist is good, no doubt about it.
My mom still can't stop talking about his playing ever since a recital we went to at spivey hall several years ago.... she says, "who was that pianist we saw with all those nuances? with the soul? every note IS important and he gets that..." Every pianist now is compared to him (and falls up short).
je le trouve fascinant ce pianiste. Sa personnalité est tres interessante, dommage qu'il ne communique pas du tout en concert avec le public. Il semble ne pas nous voir du tout. Enfin...

This is wonderful and so quiet without seeming too mannered. Truth be told,on this occasion I think I prefer him to Gould.
I`ve heard him live on several occasions including a Bartok 3 which was too fussy, and a Chopin Mazurka op.63no.2 which was magic.

And ANDERSZEWSKI So very well perform the Gigue, at the part of the end as daramatic contrast of dynamic.
I think that ANDERSZEWSKI perform better than gould in that point.
