@Torquemadia Haha so true. I like the way they have the audacity to call it 'proving' that God exists too. Nice username btw, torque is good. The mechanical engineering student at the subject of this guy's waffling probably thinks so too ;)
today islamic world was actually quite renown for scientific advances. we all use variation of arabic numbers today. i dont know what kuran says, but most of those facts could come from their own research, astronomy or alchemy, or contact with any of the great civilisations around them.
yes im sure their own research and these so called 'great civilizations' managed to clarify with great confidence tha the moon was reflected light... that the sun is constantly rotating, or that the earthis circular in all aspects
@zhilla2 according to BBC the arab traders adopted the arabic numeral system from the Indians, then spread it to the rest of the known world. they got the credit for them. i dont know if Islam was around at that time though, was it?
subhanallah..
i was able to prove to my girl friend, who was a nastik, the existence of allah swt with the help of this lecture..
those who can break their ego will surely understand this..

Ah, the tired old "science in the quran" argument. Can any muslim honestly say this approach has ever worked?
Also, lies about science are fairly easy to uncover. Look up why Anaxagoras was imprisoned.
If your man wasn't lying then he was at least ignorant. Neither option fills me with confidence regarding the rest of the argument.
