I was fortunate enough to see Scott and Tommy on 2/19/2011 at the Full Moon Saloon in Daytona Beach for the Cowboy Boyer & Talton Reunion 2011. This was just one of the many great songs they did to make the night a very memorable one for those of us in attendance. They seem to be like a good wine...they get better with age. Great music and great fun on a wonderful February night in Florida. Thanks to Cowboy and everyone at the

This song was used during the end of My Name Is Earl Season 4 Episode 2. I have already seen several posts on different sites where people are asking the name of the song and performer. It's some justice that a great song like this lives on and that new generations discover it. Kudos to the producers of My Name Is Earl. Cool!
WOW! Can't believe I found this! My hubby turned me onto Cowboy when we were dating....He got to see them perform. I was only 7 in 72, he obviously is much older-LOL.
Hey keep! I was 6 in 72. When Cowboy was released I learned of it through my mom who was friends with Scott's mom. I was so proud to own that album and that Scott was a hometown son. All these many years later I now find myself Secretary of the church they attended when he was a youngster. God works in mysterious ways -- like the way he pours so much talent into some of his children.
love this song, one song i know all the lyrics and can sing well. dont really care for claptons version.the original is the best. thanks for posting. a great big sigh........
I just love this song. Did you know that this is Gary Rossington's favourite song?
Anyone know what happened to the third Cowboy lead guitarist, Pete Kowalke? One of the greatest exponents of the telecater guitar that I have heard. Cowboy, wonderful group. Picked up an old 1972 record of Five'll Get you Ten (with inside lyric sheet)on Ebay and it has brought me so much enjoyment. Full of good music, with a very special, kind of cosmic, feel all of its own.

Beautiful slide work, the harp player lays down some real sweet licks and with Scott Boyer singin' on it, it's like icing on the red velvet cake!

Right on, sadly though the harp player died about 2 weeks ago, just a little over a month after this show.
