Just seen the Metal Gods at Newport Centre their opening gig of the British 2011 tour (15th July) and they were simply amazing, Rob Halford can still hit the notes and glenn tipton makes that guitar look easy. Say what you like about the Priest, 4 decades 22 songs on the setlist and I personally think they could have put another 20 on it, Metal Gods fact!

I was Judas Priest live in Scandinavium, Sweden. I got very disappointed because Rob's voice was no good at all. He had echoes on because he couldn't sing loud enough.

The guy is an absolut expert!!!

And when he was developing vocally in the 70's I think the biggest inspiration was Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan. Those high pitch screams he learned from him I guess.... Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne and other Purple guy Glenn Hughes (bass guitarist and second lead vocalist in David Coverdale fronted Purple) could be some inspiration for his style as well...
