Had Germany actually produced more of their panzer IV's then Tigers / panthers and KT's the war might have gone much differently. Trying to produce a small number of quality tanks does nothing against an enemy who simply runs their own cheap armor down your throat every battle until your overwhelmed. Germany had some fantastic tanks though despite their incompetence in dealing with the sherman.

The Panzer was powered by a Maybach HL series V-12 pretol engine, NOT a diesel. They ranged in hp from 230 to over 300. The Soviet T34 was one of the few WWII tanks to be diesel powered with a 500hp V-12 diesel engine. T-34's were far superior to German and American tanks in terms of engine. Panzers, Panthers and Tiger all had fuel leaking problems without being hit by any enemy fire. Shermans, while simple, easy to build and manueverable were pathetic excuses for main battle tanks.

The Italians couldn't even defend their own country, the Germans had to do it for them, the Italians haven't won a war since the Roman Empire collapsed! Do your research next time!

A little out on your figures, in fact the executed over 27,000 Polish officers to destroy the Polish educated classes. Google "Katyn Forest Massacre" - Katyn forest was the largest of three sites where they were killed.

Von den Pershings wurde eine Reihe abgeschossen, u.a. auch durch einen Königstiger und ein Nashorn. Die Pershings wurden allerdings auch recht selten bzw. recht spät eingesetzt und waren durch andere "Krankheiten" (Motoren/Getriebeschäden, Munitionsmangel) ausser Gefecht.

The Sherman was a death trap. The Sherman was nicknamed "the cigarette lighter by the German panzer crews because they lit up every time when hit by there 75's and 88's. The Sherman did have speed over most panzers but at a cost. It was powered by a gasoline engine, rather than a diesel like the panzers. The Shermans short 75mm was very low velocity also and could not penetrate a Tiger or Panther unless hit from the rear at close range.

The Panzer was powered by a Maybach HL series V-12 pretol engine, NOT a diesel. They ranged in hp from 230 to over 300. The Soviet T34 was one of the few WWII tanks to be diesel powered with a 500hp V-12 diesel engine. T-34's were far superior to German and American tanks in terms of engine. Panzers, Panthers and Tiger all had fuel leaking problems without being hit by any enemy fire. Shermans, while simple, easy to build and manueverable were pathetic excuses for main battle tanks.
