I'm sure we all kno that Simon's kinda old, but I dnt think his age (I mean, c'mon, it's not like he's 80--he's only 52!) is what made him forget the lyrics. Duran Duran's been together and writing songs for 25 years, so Simon's had to memorize TONS of songs. And Wild Boys is a fairly old song, so he might not remember it as well as some other songs.

Simon has been forgetting words since the early 80's, I've a couple of live cd's from the early 80's and he really struggles to get the chorus to Hungry like the wolf in the right order, its all over the place. Bless him, he's wrote so many songs that i bet he has words flying about his head all the time. What a guy!

Where do you guys get your facts? He almost drowned in a boat race, when it capsized and the entire crew was trapped inside. And I'd rather see him forget where he was in the song and know he's actually singing it than lip-syncing. I've seen them perform live several times and they are by far my favorite. Maybe I'm biased though. Still.

I got the feeling that Simon was doing this on purpose because of what happened at their New Zealand show. He did the same thing in Concord on May 2nd. I think it's the cynicism in him coming out. It made for a fun experience. Yes, John was having a good ol' time laughing with Simon on stage at the show I saw.

Actually, he did forget the lyrics.. I took the video. At the very start of the chorus, he begins singing "never chose this way" when he should say "never lose it"

Notice his reaction at :41 (he knew he messed up, which made it funny.. plus John kept laughing at him, look at :59)

It's not meant to be a bad thing.. I'm a huge Duran Duran fan and I thought it was cute. We all make mistakes (and this one was minor anyway)

He did the same thing with intro for The Reflex which was more noticeable. When he realized he forgot the words he walked off and started laughing before saying he was totally beside himself. Throughout most of the song he an John laughed. I still love them because it shows they are human and for his age he is freakin awesome! It was very cute.
