Moore's law states that the speed of processors used by computers will increase twofold per year which will directly result in a 50% devaluation of bitcoins per year (remember computer cycles are used to generate bitcoins). So early bitcoin fans will win short term at the expense of others that loose their money by getting trapped in the ponzi scheme.

Or for example: by using a unique bitcoin ID, if there is one, as a receipt for something tangible from the person who mined it which actually has value - like a coin, food, gas, etc, as applicable. Until then if it's all for paper & on centralized exchanges it's done for.

Gold and silver is money and nothing else, bitcoin is not money its a currency ALL currencies (even ones backed with gold) have 2 things in common they have no intrinsic value and can go to zero a lot easier than gold and silver can.

Always remember the paper promising gold is not gold and 100% of the time more paper is created than the gold they have.

Bitcoin is a solution to the problem of over created currencies.
