@atkinsontony yes it was called an iroc z28 but z28 is the name that was derived from the rpo code that became popular but in 89 there was no camaro that was just a z28, only irocz. but regardless, still a badass car, not that I'm biased or anything lol

@ogbobbyjohnson11 Camaro was base yes , now the Iroc was more just a limited time only trim , and they came in 350's only where a Z28 came in 305 or 350, also , from my knowledge but dont hold me to , the Iroc did not come with a suspensoin package like theZ28's The Iroc is more a power pig , the Z28 can come with a suspensoin package that can be adjusted with the turn of a knob by hand and is ment for more racing circiute and cornering use.

@SpeedFreak8900 i know alot about the 3rd Gen Camaro's. I've spent alot of late nights studying them. Check about what your gonna say before you say it. The 86 Iroc had a 305. In 87 you had the option of the 350. The Iroc had bigger sway bars than the Z28. And the Z28 did not have an adjustable suspention.

@NightmareMC3 dude, you seem to know allot about camaros, the 1989 iroc-z came out with auto or manual and if im gonna buy 1 to tune should i go for the z28 or the iroc-z? i dont mind changing motors and im good enough mecchanic but i read 1ce that if you are gonna do a motor swap or a tuneup its better to get the z28 it that true? sorry about beying daft, i only worked on tuners and renaults. love muscle cars but totally stupid about them.

@TheVampire136 well if you can get your hands on a I-roc with a 350 ( automatic or manual ) keep it and restore it. but if your looking for tuning, try to find you either a Sport Coupe or a Z28 with a 305 and swap it for a 350 or bigger. let me tell ya, i drive a 305 camaro everyday, they suck.

If you were right than why would the 91-92 z28 have a softer suspension than the irocs but a slightly more powerful l98 motor?
