@west21tah this was before they made the new "ecofriendly" diesel. now you can get something that i think is called an oil injector that puts basically a compound into the exhaust to make it black. but the days of pouring smoke everywhere are gone :(

with the single stack can you hear alot more turbo in the cab and is it alot louder? i have a 2002 7.3 i have it straight piped right now but its not loud enough in the cab.

@TheTurboF350 black smoke only means you have unused fuel getting burnt out of your exhaust. it is not a bad thing that you have an aftermarket turbo, and your are not blowing black smoke, it means you are using up your fuel and turning into power.
